thanks for highlighting this issue-:) I think how people are socialized and brought up is a huge contributor to how people end up doing things when they grow up even though most if not all tend to conform because they have been allowed to give the very bare minimum and just accept and "go with the flow". I think the more you get to know someone the more elaborate the dates should be. Creativity should be embraced by both men and women. Effort should always be at 100% if not we end up having lacklustre relationships that have dead ends and netflix and chill 24/7. Recreation can be created and we are not bound by hang out joints, food courts, movie theatres etc etc. The more you want to make something happen the more effort you will put so Ivy is right laziness is huge esp mental laziness. We need to stop ASAP.

Culures & Traditions: I think there should be alignment from the start - I like that you guys are aware that this is majorly a bias because of perception & majority of the time during marriage discussions only. 3. Nairobi is small - Just a comment but most people meet their one by the time they're 25 (just a fact), very difficult to go to new places (to look to meet someone new) if you're over 25. Took someone on a date to a bookshop. Also there's Escape Room Kenya. And there are a lot of interesting historical buildings in Nairobi. Take a train ride to Syokimau. Take a matatu or bus to a hood that isn't yours...

I think men in Nairobi just don't know how to finesse date night as compared to men in abroad, and they are just lazy. We also are stuck in the "olden ways-days" hence when it comes to marriage and staying together and the grasping fast to the "new generation" ways of dating, hence there is no clear boundaries thus, we conform to the norm and accept the follow of dating now. In Nairobi there are so much clique, by the time you think of dating someone, he or she had dated your friend somewhere in times. Sponsor mentality has just made it hard to get the right man or woman and increased cheating and made it look cool I agree. PS: I gave up in dating in Nairobi or anywhere in Africa cause of this reason and others
