Hey Jerry, I believe I saw a comment come through where you have already found my Vision of the Seas ship tour! Sorry, running a bit behind with comments with the trip.
@@TheWeekendCruiser Hey Brandon, I have been subscribed since I started commenting. I will unsubscribe and subscribe again to see if it shows up. Now I wonder if this is happening to some of your other subscribers.
Hmm could just be the way TH-cam shows it to me? The only way I see who has subscribed publicly (not sure you can do it privately) is an icon beside comments.
@@TheWeekendCruiser thanks for bringing this up. I found a button on my profile that defaults subscriptions to private - which I have just changed over to public. Didn't even know this existed.
"small town" :-D With 180,452 inhabitants in 2021I 1, it is France's twelfth-largest municipality by population. Toulon is the center of an urban unit of 595,715 inhabitantsI 2, the ninth largest in France. The military port of Toulon (French: arsenal de Toulon) is the principal base of the French Navy and the largest naval base in the Mediterranean, situated in the city of Toulon. It holds most of France's force d'action navale, comprising the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle as well as its nuclear attack submarines, in total, the base contains more than 60% of the French Navy's tonnage, and about 20,000 military and civilian personnel work at the base.
Hey Stephan! Thank you for sharing! This was one of my earlier videos and I have learned I am not good at making this style of video as I don't know all about the city. Glad you came by and helped me educate some folks since I don't feel like I did a good job.
Ha, I definitely struggled with this one and am sure I got some of the other ports wrong too. Will try to do better next time I get out of my comfort zone! But thank you!
This is why I keep spreadsheets! Left out of Barcelona and went to these locations: Sete, France Provence (Toulon), France Ajaccio, Corsica Palma De Mallorca, Spain Ibiza, Spain Cartagena, Spain Valencia, Spain. In all fairness, I learned after this trip that I need to take Med cruises more seriously and do the leg work and research to make the trip more impactful.
You were poorly informed about what you could do in Toulon. You could have taken the city cable car (really cheap) to go all the way up the hill or there is a magnificent view of the city and its surroundings on one side and behind on the countryside and the other hills, you would also have found restaurants/ cafe, places to picnic, the museum of the landing in Provence during the Second World War, you could take a boat to visit the harbor with all the military boats docked. There were so many things to do on Sundays. He should give passengers more information when they stop at the boat. It’s a shame.
Sorry I didn't get this one completely right. Would you mind posting a few links to resources people can reference that details more of this information? Always want to make sure I'm sharing the best information, even if I don't get it right, the first go round.
I'm confused, how can one visit a place and not know how to pronounce the name of the city.🤨I am sure people there, especially the French, would have corrected you!!! Did you really visit this city????🤥
Haha pronunciation is not my strong area. I get many words wrong and it has probably become part of my channel's brand now 🤣 but I do try! Just don't always get it right. 🤷
Hey Christina! Thank you! I have learned that Mediterranean port names are not my strong and I promise I tried! Need to focus on this more next time as names are important!

That very well could be. My pronunciation of these places was the toughest part of these videos. 😂
@@TheWeekendCruiser 😀😀😀 good you try 😄 I lived in France for 5 years and i found the pronouciation difficult
Thanks. His pronunciation was driving me bonkers.
I was there too, and his pronunciation of Toulon is not correct at all. Hmmmm🤔
Hey Brandon your cruise ports looks great, enjoy your vacation.
Very interesting vlog, Brandon ! Since you’re now on Vision, it would be nice to hear at least a bit on the ship and how you found cruising on it.

Great sights! Thanks for sharing your adventure! 😎
Vision Of The Seas will be sailing out of Baltimore next year.

Firstly I see you’re almost at 8K subscribers! Yay!!
What a wonderful walk! Love the markets! I really love exploring those small towns too!!
Small steps!! Amazing how the channel keeps growing!
I like that the ferry ride can be charged to your room. Too bad so many places were closed. Thanks for the tour.
That was nice! BTW Judi, I just noticed you are not publicly subscribed to the channel but we chat with every video! haha

Great talk. Looking forward to more.
Will you be giving us one of your signatue in-depth tours of your cabin aboard Vision?
Sure will! It is already posted! A bit late with comments with the trip!
Valiant lady docks right in Toulon

You pronounce the first part of the city's name (TOU - LON) like you pronounce TWO (so a bit like TWO-Lon)
Ha, I definitely struggled with this one and am sure I got some of the other ports wrong too. Will try to do better next time I get out of my comfort zone! But thank you!
What was your itinerary?

Toulon is pronounced ‘Too - Lon’ not Talon.
