Thank you, Austin, for the clear instructions. This helped me very much. The biggest problem was that some of the screws were difficult to remove. My best advice to others if they have the same problem: get a fresh new screwdriver or drive tip. If your screwdriver is at all worn, it will be hard to get the screws out.
Awesome! So far you are the only one that has listed replacement battery model numbers. Quick question, looking at Lenovo's website the 1705 has been superceded by the 1707, but where are you finding the information that these are compatible with the Yoga 12, not just the S1?
I have both units and they use the same battery. I get parts information from Lenovo's partslookup tool: support.lenovo.com/us/en/partslookup. Just enter the model 20C0 for the S1, or 20DK for the Yoga 12.
Sorry if you answered this one already and I missed it... what is the part number for the battery? How can I tell which is the proper battery for that same model of Yoga laptop that you demonstrate in your video?
That's about how long I expect batteries to last. You can use a tool like BatteryInfoView to compare your battery's current capacity against its design capacity. I don't think it's worth replacing unless the capacity is

I think they need not be removed entirely. I think when you get to a "stop" you can quit there, as the screw will be free. I could be wrong.
Very much appreciated - thank you...it's encouraging that it's so straightforward!

Part # 45N1705 or 45N1707
Nice! Right to the point.
How long did the new battery lasted? My old one last 3-4 hours, wondering if the new one will be longer by much?
