You'll want to use the 3.5mm audio jack port on your TV to connect to your speaker with an aux cable. Just plug one end into the TV and the other into your speaker, and you should be good to go!
I have an aux. cable hooked between my tv & Bluetooth speaker. (My tv doesn’t have Bluetooth & I don’t have the extra gadget you spoke of.) My phone’s Bluetooth is off & nothing else has Bluetooth. My problem is that my Bluetooth speaker remains in pairing mode so the sound from the tv isn’t going to the speaker.
if your Bluetooth speaker stays in pairing mode, it probably isn't picking up the audio from the aux cable. Try checking if the cable is fully plugged into both the TV and the speaker. Also, some speakers need you to switch modes (from Bluetooth to aux) manually. See if there’s a button or setting on your speaker to change that.
What kind of jack port should I use for my TV to my speaker?
