Just to clear this is up, the metal part before the nib is not intended to be a grip section. As you can see, the metal part is imitated on the rear of the pen as well. This step-down in diameter merely allows the cap to match the diameter of the barrel.
+Jonathan Rizk That's right. In my comment I forgot to double quote the "grip section". It is a section though, grip or not, and the design is still awkward.
I have this pen myself and I like it quite a bit. The only major problem with it is the cap, the clicking part just wears down to quick. My cap falls off if I turn my pen upside down or anything like that.
Got one but with broad nib, expected it to be very fat but its actually ok. Also was included FB converter so it fits inside of pen(standard international... not a bad thing holding it for barrel(no other way you can hold it actually) really smooth writing, like the nib but would even more like it if it was medium or fine good pen for everyday use
Lamy Accent, Tombow Zoom 101 Carbon, and Waterman Perspective all have similarly unpractical grip section. One cannot be sure if that's a feature or a design flaw. It's funny to see Faber Castell Ambition fountain pen for €85 at stores (probably 2 years ago?) at first, and recently for around €55 fountain pen + ballpoint pen set.
I really like the sleekness but I agree the grip area is a def no go. I can see myself drawing blood on that lol I tend to have a death grip. On another note... The Sunday grass cutting doesn't come through the audio as much as the cars did 😂 always something to be greatful for...
Your review is on point. I demoed the pen at DC pen show. I loved, loved, loved how the nib wrote! However, the barrel is too skinny and too short to hold. If I post it to elongate the body, there is a significant back weight. It’s so sad because it is so pretty and the nib is fabulous. 😭
Thanks for the review. Trying one of these out at a Faber-Castell store I found the lack of a grip section too awkward to hold, so I went with the Ondoro instead. Not sure if it's worth the asking price just for their "precious resin" but the nib really is very smooth. Any chance of more GvFC reviews? I'd love to see the Intuition. Thanks!
thank you for the review. I quite like the looks of this pen, and even though it is short I think I could use it on posted because I have rather small hands. Will this pen be a giveaway? Just curious.
this is interesting...... i always want to try a FB nibs because everyone who used one say nothing but good about their writing performance, but the design always puts me off. If i should get one, i think an upgrade is possible too.... :) thanks sbrebrown

+sbrebrown yay
Will you make a presentation of Faber - Castell Neo Slim?
An interesting offering, but I'll not trade my E-motion for one. ; ) Thanks Stephen.

What happened to your hand?
Just overexerted it a bit, but I'm alright now :-).
+sbrebrown Good. :)
I think, it should have been named as Turkuaz, not aqua. Because of the color :)
Is the nib a #5 nib?
It is.
