Amazing album! You can hear how good these guys are musically and I like the tempo changes also the piano work is great as well! Great job! Much respect
I like metal in general but if I had to pick the sub-genre, I listen to the least its black metal. That being said the quality of this album makes it easily one of my favorite black metal albums I've listen to.
As of 20+ years Crimson Moon has been based in Germany, and now also in France with the addition of our drummer. Crimson Moon was formed in the US, so in all actuality it came from the US, there is no correct one Continent answer to this, ultimately.
oh okay I thought you‘d consider yourself and the project German these days. I actually live somewhat close to you and I‘m a friend of your bandmate Moe
@@scorpiosandroctonus3807 I agree that it is mostly irrelevant which country your from or where you live now. Because what really matters is the music. If the music speaks to you or gives you something that other albums don't. It's all subjective thought. Thanks man great album btw!!
It is not Totentanz and not Shining. Both shining and totentanz were inspired by gregorian chant called Dies Irae. It was inspiration to hundreds of composers, classical and modern
@@YerbaDelDiablo Correct, it was an idea I used in the song I knew I had heard somewhere after recording it, and struggled to find it again. Listz's Totentanz was the only thing I could remember it from but now hearing the Gregorian Chant it is also something I was familiar with and had on a cd of Gregorian chants a long time ago, so it's a mystery which I heard first, but both Dies Irae and Totentanz were responsible for the inspiration in the interlude.
@@scorpiosandroctonus3807 It is really great that people still use melody of Dies Irae in music. First time I've heard it was actually in Totentanz but later when I discovered origin of it, I noticed that it is literally everywhere and I always aprreciate when somebody references Dies Irae in music
Batushka wasn't the first band to use bassoprofondo-inspired chants in black metal. The fact that they're the only point of reference from which you drew comparisons (despite the fact that the similarities with this album are incredibly superficial considering compositionally they are pretty different) is probably a sign that you should expand your tastes a bit, as should we all of course.
May these beings be blessed eternally. Under the authority, of destruction and rebirth. I thank thee.

They are located in Germany nowadays, not in the states
