  • What we see here is a Casablanca 20th Century Limited ceiling fan, model 6444 in antique brass finish with B15S 21" stenciled walnut blades, dated January 1982. The 20th Century is a bit of an odd character in Casablanca's lineup. It remained K63 longer than the rest of the catalog, and this one is no exception. This was likely done for one of either two reasons. 1. delays in redesigning the switch housing and cover to fit the K55, and 2. to use up the factory's back stock of K63 motors. The 20th Century's design was modeled after that of Westinghouse's first ceiling fan, the Deluxe, which was made very briefly from 1906-1909 and very few surviving samples exist. It was named after the 20th Century Limited passenger train that ran on the New York Central line between Grand Central in NYC and LaSalle Street Station in Chicago between 1902 and 1967.

I'm definitely a huge fan of stencil blades. Cane as well.
