the new trucks are rarely having too many issues on emissions side anymore unless you idle way too much!
Many people idle a lot because of work situations Taking calls, killing time. Vehicles need to idle well.
Maybe it’s time to hit some bumps and have some stuff rattle loose.
Maybe try changing those rims and tires.
Jack u need to do your own ECU upgrade on the Denali along with a long piece of metal!!

I love how that’s all manufactures reply to their shitty design “well it is what it is”. That truck here in Canada is almost $100k... for a sensor to go bad every 5-40k and be known like that to the dealership is a joke and shows the manufacture doesn’t care about the consumer
If you paid me I will not take a new truck. Old school is the only way. Wait till warranty is up. You need deep pockets. Fix your old truck no matter what. Still cheaper.
I have the same problem with my 2020 Denali right now. I'm still waiting for a tank going on 3 weeks now. Apparently the tanks are freezing and the sensors are all in with it so they need to replace the entire tank.
If you have any Mopar product get ready for a LOT of recalls. Ask me how I know. I'm looking at a 2020 Rugged Ridge Duramax. Hopefully yours is doing better?
Did you use more DEF, or notice any smells coming from the engine before the repair?
I just purchased a 2020 AT4 HD.
I left the dealership with a full tank of DEF yesterday.
Today DEF is two bars down, and I'm getting a smell coming from the engine that smells almost like burnt DEF.
I have a 2021 Sierra 1500 3.0L with only 1600 miles on it and it’s already been in the shop twice now with the same problem.
Sport mode makes a difference in those expeditions, throttle is way more sensitive and it gets up quicker
Found this video because my Yukon xl Denali that only has 3,218 miles now has check engine light. With emissions issue email. This is the first time I went from Tahoe to Yukon. (I know the brand connection) This is the very first service issue ever under 50,000 miles i have ever experienced. Not Happy Camper🤬👊
EPA should be made to foot the bill for anything emissions related on modern diesel vehicles.
I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado Duramax 1500, every dealership told me 2 to 3 weeks to get mine fixed! They updated all the software, and they need to replace the NOX
Man I want a diesel but I’m not sure about getting a newer one if there’s this kind of problem especially if of our favorite regulators...

I own a Gmc sierra 2500hd duramax 2020 and my truck just got the same problem today !! At only 17500 km !!!🤒
I hope they did the catalyst reductant loading reset and nox 1 reset too, or else that truck will be having more issues down the road. It seems a lot of techs missed that step during the service update for this issue and the trucks come back..

But do you have a block heater on your engine I have a 2019 duramax 3500 LTZ and it was cut off I asked the dealership They said that is Gms temporary fix for your block heater will not catch on fire The problem for me is I live in Minnesota very extreme cold weather
My 2020 High Country HD's Def Fluid heater went. Had to wait 16 days for the part to come. 17307 miles on it.
I had the nox sensor on my AT4 as well. After reflash it hasn't been back in about 8,000 miles. Weird tho they did not have to replace mine. It was simply programming

I’m a tech at Audi in Colorado and the NOx sensors on our TDI’s are a super common issue as well

my 2017 gmc broke at 85k miles. Had to get new Dpf,Injectors,Glow plugs,etc. just sold it and got an f250.
From moab... did angels landing this spring... no smoke then.

5450 Miles on my 2500 HD High Country. Same problem! WTH
6000 miles on mine and at the dealership right now!!! The check engine light popped up only had it for a week. I plugged in my scan tool and 3 codes popped up. One of them says its a brake booster the other 2 dont read so i guess my scan tool doesnt know what they are.
Update: My buddy at the dealership where i bought the truck told me to get rid of the it cuz their getting them in all the times for steering problems and brake problems.....i am very sad rn

15k miles on my 2020 Denali hd duramax and it’s been to the dealer 5.... yes 5 times for emission problems
You’re lucky you got through the virgin river gorge without any traffic! I go through there all the time and sometimes traffic can be backed up 5-10 miles because of the construction!

My 2021 evolution just turn the check engine light on at 967 miles. It seems to me that the exhaust filter on trucks is filtering so much you have to go and clean the exhaust filter once a week.

Those emissions really mess up diesels if you don’t drive them hard to make the regen kick on I’ve had it happen with some freightliners I’ve drive

Utah was as close to my home state of Idaho you got, so close yet so far. It’s hard to believe the Jeep already has recalls, they didn’t change much between the jk and jl I thought.
Utah is fantastic. If you have the chance, you should get out to SpeedWeek out on the Salt Flats. It's fantastic and there's even quite a few diesel vehicles that run

I had my DPF changed at 6000kms. I drive it fast also. Not sure why it clogged

Wow that's amazing if that was a service advisor he didn't know what a knock sensor does a knock sensor is a sensor usually somewhere on the block or under the intake manifold that senses detonation the detonation puts a residence or vibration through the cylinder block this sensor senses that vibration and sends a signal to the computer to retard the timing to eliminate the knock I believe it has a crystal or something inside that detects it and then it sends the ohm signal to the computer so basically it's a vibration sensor because when you get that spark knock or detonation it makes a vibration in the block which is basically two explosions exploding at the same time in the cylinder pushing down on the Piston not a good thing when they Collide that's a knocking sound you're hearing them hitting the top of the piston

I bought a brand new GMC this Saturday, yesterday, two days later, my emissions system needs servicing. The car has 100 miles, ONE HUNDRED miles and I have to take it in to the service shop. ARGH
Did you get it fixed? Same issue happened to me two days after I bought mine 1500 3.0 Duramax.
