    Been using Shreddage 3 for a while.
    Call it alien technology, black magic, voodoo, whatever... If you put in the time to learn it (like REALLY learn it and understand it) it's just mind blowing.

    I think the midi sequencing is almost the entire battle with these libraries. Having a midi pack or sequencer inside the plugin could really help people. It's what I struggle with the most, my guitars sound like they are being played from a sample library and yours do not, despite being the same thing.

    Wow! Very helpful!
    Being a keyboard player it's always hard to know what a real guitar player might do in a given situation. This video gave me lots of new ideas and is incredibly valuable. Thanks!

    Just set up a preset with these recommended settings and I'll be messing around for sure. Such a great tutorial; it helped me to understand the Shreddage engine much better. Keep this stuff coming!

    Props for admitting the keys skills. That's basically my approach as well. :D Thanks Andrew. Your guitar libraries are unsurpassed in detail. Excellent work from ISW!

    this was the video i have been dying for. i'm great at rythme. but such at leads. but this makes it sooooo clear now. thank you. STUMMING video would be great next. i do think shreddage stumming need to be updated to be like ample guitars.

    It's really nice to have tips like these on a tutorial that's easier to find, rather than trying to remember some random instance where you've mentioned it on an old video :)

    Would be really cool if you made videos about in depth KSP scripting and how you make your libraries. There's an abysmal amount of people covering that on TH-cam and your expertise would help scripters or people looking to get into it alot easier. In other words, please make videos about that, haha.

    Can you make a guide on realistic acoustic guitar strums? Not some basic up and downs but more playful patterns

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC
      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are very very tricky without dedicated sampled strums, but we'll continue doing R&D.

    2:01 does not work in Hydra =(((((((( I have to have keyswitch on piano roll. It works once when I turn off latch key control, but after it dissapears, and I have to turn it on and off again to make it works again.

    Hey Andrew... Any chance to buy the libraries with month-payments? for example with plataforms like Klarna, Cofidis? I'm from Spain and, it's a little more difficult for us, to spend 200-400 euros in a software in a one-payment. Please consider to make some contact with this kinda of payment platforms. Will be helpful for many of us!

    Am I missing something? at 11:35 Andrew shows us the importance of the note slides but doesn't explain how he did it. Fabulous tutorial other than that.

    • @EmptyKingdoms

      I honestly believe he is using the FL Studio built-in slide (midi) notes. Look it up on the "font of all knowledge", you'll find info about it easily.

    My current issue is that I want to do a root+octave style power chord.
    This would be E3+E4 in this case so I put down an E3 in the midi piano roll and when I play the single note it will be played on the high A string 7th fret which I where I want it, great!
    The moment I add the E4 the problems start.
    When I do that the engine decides to play it on the low A and low E string, at the end of the fret board.
    This gets me a very undesirable tone and sounds awful.
    I've tried to mess with the force string option but no matter what I choose it keeps going to the low A and low E.
    I've tried different picking modes, fretting modes, hand positions, hand sizes, min and max preferred frets but nothing gets the notes to play in the place I want them.
    When I remove the E4 from the piano roll and only play the E3 it works flawless any time.
    I have no clue how to get Shreddage to behave as I want it to, does anyone have an idea?

  • @DropdeadGamingLive

    My problem has never really been about "automation" as much as it was "too much pick" in the notes being played.
    Could never get a smooth & slick render on my leads which really killed everything in the process.
    That and the damn tone profile which I could also never dial in properly... but that's a different story.
    That being said, rewatching this video was nice and I'll make sure to use these tricks the next time around!

    Thanks for this in depth look! Is there polyphonic legato in any library? Can I have two notes sounding and then slide down on only one string? Like sound an open B string and the fifth fret on high E and then slide down to the third on the E while letting the open B still ring?

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC
      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can do polyphonic legato, but if you want to really be specific with exactly what note slides on which string, we recommend using the "MIDI guitar mode" where you can send multiple MIDI channels to the instrument, and each MIDI channel corresponds with a string.

    I can’t get this company to respond to my support ticket!!! I bought their software from a third party four days ago and their website is not working to get it up and running. Please get back to me, Impact!!! I need this software to work for a deadline. Terrible experience for me so far. As of now, I’m very much regretting my purchase.
