Wow, The Budwiser Showdown, I didn't know it was as successful as I seen on this video. I'm glad to see that some of the Aritist that won had the help to go on to bigger and better things. I so wish that was true for our group. We were the most talented versetile group in the Budwiser Showdown in 1983. I remember Lou Rawls was the host along with Stephanie Mills. I still speak very fondly of Mr. Rawls today, he gave us his dressing room with all the trimmings when some of the dressing rooms flooded at the Paladium because of a plumbing problem. Our group won the Showdown that night, the first all female band to ever win the Budwiser National Showdown and I can say, from then on we were the only female band to enter and win ever. since. "SUGAHH" All female band winners of the 1983. Budwiser Showdown in Los Angeles California. Too bad were not in this Video featuring Budwiser Showdow winners, we were unique. We disappear after the Showdown win, I guess some things were never meant to be if you don't have the right help behind you.
