It is actually really raw to think about that Kobeni might actually have killed everyone (except Denji of course) in the hotel if she was pushed too far. It was actually stated by Himeko that Kobeni has the skills, just not have the mental strength to be able to survive the job.
Doubt it. Kobeni is able to pull this one off here because she's relatively calm. Back in the hotel she was freaking out way too much, which pretty much zeroes her combat skill.
That being said, a calm Kobeni would probably solo everyone in the hotel including Denji tbh
I haven't read the manga but I've noticed Kobeni changes her stance everytime she goes "combat mode". Like something else was in control.
Which might be why she was super panicking because it couldn't help her, same as Kon, in the hotel.

Idk would she be able to get past Himeno's ghost or Aki's curse sword though?
@@sandwichlegend2348 Himeno's Ghost is kind of OP against physical attacks of small size so yeah that would be hard. Aki though I don't think Kobeni would have any trouble if she was in a good state of mind. She dodged bullets, she's way faster than Katana Man (unless he uses his special attack which was too quick for Aki), so Aki wouldn't be able to stop her imo.
The main reasons why Kobeni wasn't able to do anything back at the hotel are that 1) Kobeni is good in theory but she's terrible under pressure. She only performed well here because she's the one who engaged the enemy on her terms and without being "forced" to do so and 2) Kobeni would probably not have had access to her devil contracts back at the hotel just like Aki could only use the one where he had a devil part on him (although we never get any proof that she couldn't use her devil contracts, it's likely that if she could it would at least have been discussed as a possibility but once Aki failed to summon Kon, they do not discuss either of the Rookie's contracts so presumably they can't use them in the hotel).
I mean... Himeno said Kobeni had the moves, but that was straight up John Wick.

Im calling it, Konebis devil contract is either with a knife devil or maybe a serial killer devil. Both of those fears would make for a pretty strong devil.

In the hotel Himeno said "she's timid, but she has the moves" probably should have said something more accurate like "she's been running my fade in training girl's OP"

Seeing you two celebrating Makima gives me life, not gonna lie. Strong vibes.
Next episode is gonna tug at the heartstrings but the second half is damn fun.
I’m not a manga reader, so what I’m about to say are just my speculations, based on your final comments. (And manga readers, please don’t confirm any of my theories whether I’m right or wrong ^_^). I too think Makima may be some kind of angel or devil, because we didn’t see any Devil show up when she was using her powers. Her ability to resurrect from death may be her own innate ability as well.
I don’t think she’s the Gun Devil because back in the episode when they first talked about the Gun Devil, in the outro video, they prominently showed imagery of horses. The final image had a horse’s head that was made up of bullets. Makima also noted how pieces of the Gun Devil fall off because of how fast it moves. So the Gun Devil having the form of horse seems plausible to me. Also, I wonder if Devils can step onto holy or sacred grounds in this world. Makima was on the grounds of a Shinto shrine… if Devils have that kind of limitation, then she couldn’t have been a Devil. But if Devils have no problems entering sacred places, then I guess she could be a Devil.

Solid, solid points made here. I didn’t even think about the shrine and being on hollowed grounds. I know we’re just speculating too but we still haven’t let go of the idea that Makima is an angel….I think it’s less plausible now than I did, but who knows!!

Lightning/Electrocution Devil :3 not too crazy powerful and can be harnessed by humans, maybe they'd be down for contracts, but they're also old af people have been scared of lightning for forever, even if not so much anymore
