Shortly speaking, the song is about the dark side of show business. Ironically, it describes well what happened. Blanka had connections with the jury and the broadcaster. Jann won the televoting although he was not known so much before. Greetings from Poland!
He has amazing charisma and presence. Born to be star.
The vote was rigged. Facts:
1) Blanka is friends with the son of Edyta Górniak who was head of the jury.
2) Her dancers are from the dance studio of yet another juror (Agustin Egurolla).
3) She’s been heavily promoted and already performed in TVP, e.g. at the New Year’s Eve broadcast with the same song.
4) Although Jann and Alicja were clearly the favourites, the jury strategically put them in 4th and 5th places to make sure that who the jury picked won.
5) The rules on how the winner is picked were changed a couple of days before the broadcast. In past years, the winner was picked based solely on the televote but this year they decided to do it 50/50 jury’s vote and televote. And they even added a disclaimer that in case of a tie, the jury’s vote breaks it.
6) Probably most damning piece of info: at 3pm TVP posted that Blanka won and proceeded to quickly delete the post. The winner was officially announced around 6:30pm. There are screenshots.
It’s the homophobic nepotistic TVPiS that has spoken yet again, not Poland.

Blanka in the end was still good though - proved the haters wrong. Nepotism doesn't always fail. Send letters your parliament representatives to fix the situation with your national tv. Writing pitty comments on youtube won't really do anything.

You are so right, guys! This might not be a perfect performance but it is far more interesting than Blanka's song. Jann's song is quite unpredictible and captivative. When you hear Blanka's "solo", it's like "yeah, right... another one"

It is very intelligent performance and choreography.

"smash your competition baby" - very aggressive moves resembling hammer
Jann wyśpiewał prawdę i dostał po dupie...więc wybrali słodka Blankę bo śpiewa piosenkę dla nastolatek. Wersja TVP jest okropna jest nagranie ze studia ,która przesłał Maciej Słonina, w tej wersji jest inny wydźwięk ,zobaczycie różnice i jeszcze większy talent naszego zwycięzcy w sensie Polaków a nie jury
Występ każdego brzmiał lepiej pod sceną. Do tv leci dźwięk bezpośrednio, bez rozproszenia itd.
Nawet dla nastolatek nie była ta piosenka lepsza jest już czołówka z pokemon xyz (trzecia )i z demon slayer

My heart goes out to all the polish people that voted for this and got f'd by the corrupt jury, and to Jann ofc - you deserve better.

We - Polish fans of the Eurovision Song Contest - have every reason to think that the jury voting in the Polish National Final, due to which the song Solo won, has been manipulated.
The voting system has been changed in favour of the jury only 4 days before the National Final. Up till now we haven't received the detailed voting of the Polish juries and the SMS voting. Polish broadcaster TVP does not react to our petitions regarding transparency of the voting. Moreover, one of the jurors has professional connection with the National Final's winner.
Additionally, the jury chef indicated in numerous interviews and comments that she did not know exactly, how the voting worked. We have many more arguments showing that the jury voting was manipulated.
In this context we demand the cancelling of the jury voting in Poland and accepting the public voting as the official result or withdrawing from this year's Contest.

I mean if there was corruption in your home it's not like we're gonna help to clean it up for you you gotta do it your self. The way you come out leaving comments everywhere you just making it look like Poland is a nation of very petty bunch. So much hate in comments towards Blanka. And yet she brought amazing performance did quite well. People love her. And you fellow countrymen hating her. That's just petty now isn't it. I don't really see how this song would had done better in fact my guess this would endup very low as evident from poor results of Serbia (much more polished song than this one) and Germany which just absolutely perfected performance. Dark vibes this year was stolen by Finland and this would not had put up any competition to Finland. On other hand Blanka had much less competition in the kind of style that she performed, she brought good show, endup in respectable upper half which is totally good result. And one of main jobs of jurry is to be observant of what songs are going forward in other countries and adjust scores based on that and from my looks they just did smart choice here. Don't get me wrong here. Jann is great artist. And if I'd put these two songs in isolation even though I think this song is far from perfect most of it is poorly pronounced and unintelligible lots lots of work needed indeed I may probably still chose Jann. Yet if I'm not considering it in isolation and knowing that Eurovision has rather limited space for dark vibes then I'd probably go with jury's choice too.

No doubt he was the one who should represent Poland, and with all that controversy over there, Blanka should resign to at least be able to hold her head up high.

You got that right. The corruption is real and ironically Jann fell victim to the very things he sings about in Gladiator. The Polish jurors need to be investigated because nepotism and payoffs have no business in a huge singing competition as Eurovision.
I don't know I think you poles look just like a petty bunch. Blanka brought great performance and finished in respectable middle place. Jann is great artist and taken in isolation maybe more talented than Blanka but I just don't believe this song would had done better. There is limited space for dark vibes in Eurovision and this year all dark vibes were stolen by Finland thus you can see that the other dark themed performances like Serbia or Germany finished rather low and there is no way this song would had done better than Serbia or Germany. Regardless of what the situation is artists shouldn't receive hate.

im a huge fan of Jann. I saw what Blanka sung and i just cant. Im german but likeeeeeeeeee that was not really the right call to put Blanka on Eurovision Stage xD
She did well though endup in middle and brought great performance. Even if in isolation I'd prefer Jann over Blanka I very much doubt this song would had done better than Germany or Serbia both of which I consider much higher quality than Jann thus I'd guess that Jann if he gotten to eurovision he would been fairly low potentially not even getting to finals. Finland stole all the dark vibes this year and left no space for others. Hopefully Jann improves vocals and brings more polished song next year then we can really be looking for potential winner here but this year this is just too unpolished
