1. Be yourself
She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College with a degree in education in 1971.
2. Fail well
After graduation, she taught school for a year, but soon moved on working various jobs.
3. Expand before you're ready
She co-founded a real estate business called The Corcoran Group.
4. Have a vision
She also began publishing The Corcoran Report on real estate data trends in New York.
5. Step forward
In 2001, Corcoran sold her business to NRT Incorporated for $66 million.
6. Seize opportunities
She is also a "Shark" investor on ABC's Shark Tank.

She's a columnist for More Magazine, The Daily Review, and Redbook.

She has been featured in various shows such as Larry King Live.

I started crying on point 2, "fail well" bit because Babara said something that really rung true for me. When your down and get back up God/the universe just does something to keep you going, to tell you that it's worth carrying on, there's light at the end of the tunnel etc. I'm going through tough times (as usual) but also had some good news that will keep me inching forwards in my business plans, so that's why what Babara said got me a bit emotional. Before I watched this video I would have put what Babara said a little differently - when you feel like you've had it, just given up, and you just let go and tell God/the universe, take me, do what you want, I've got nothing left - something good happens. Hope that helps someone out there. I do have this deep belief that I will do very well one day, and I can see all my difficulties are always getting me ready for stuff I can't have imagined. And good stuff is happening all time but it's surrounded by tough stuff. Thanks Evan for another fantastic video - BELIEVE!

There is SO much good info in this video it's insane. Her idea of creating the Corcoran "price index" and then sending that to the NY Times is pure genius.
It's funny how things seem so obvious after someone else has thought of it.
I need to think of something like this for our company, basically create an index of the top 5 or 10-top cookware items and release it each quarter to the media. This is a great idea!!!
