Ok now thats crazy!! I love this organization and I love the truth, I love God and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have so much going for us and riding on this salvation message, So why are we trying to be more like the world. I'm mortified that they would think that they need to make the house of prayer look more like the entertainment of this world, to draw people. I'm very disappointed. Btw, I received the Holy Ghost at a general conference in 1974 when AD Spears was preaching and I was literally consumed by the power of God and spoke tongues for over an hour and I was only 14 years old at the time and now I'm 63 and the Holy Ghost is still as powerful as it was back then, So why do we need all this charismatic and worldly theatrics is beyond my comprehension, just to say the least.
@@J2isthenamehello brother, I totally believe you, because anytime the people of God praise him, He's gonna be there 🙏 On the other hand, the theatrical lighting isn't necessarily needed for a move of God to take place.... I've had the holy ghost for 44 years and been around this movement most of my teenage and adult life (not raised in it) and have seen God move in mighty ways. I just prefer not to have all the blue, purple and orange lights flashing on the ceiling and strobe lights flickering on the platform, it's just not my thing and it actually distracts me, which is why I've never been to a rock concert or any concert for that matter and the only time I've seen lights like this is when I went to seen a musical or Broadway show. So I think we can agree to disagree on this point and still have unity in the spirit... God bless and thank you for your comment 😊
@@nanastrippin2006 I didn’t feel like it was a concert and you don’t even really notice the lights in person and I don’t think it’s our place to judge what others do I think it’s whatever they feel convicted to do
I agree with you 100%.. there is so much I can say but I’ll refrain from it. People become defensive and accuse you of judging’ without understanding rightly judging as the word says. Beside that, this is more like the club scene and THAT Is of this world from which we have been delivered. On and on I could go… this is a turn off and my spirit is grieved when I see this. God help us!
Amen! Btw, what's with all the lights anyway?, did they have that on the day of Pentecost? It's really unnecessary and very distracting. Makes me wonder if people are dancing to the beat and the lights or are they truly feeling the spirit of God like back in the day.. Btw I received the holy ghost at the general conference in 1974 when AD Spears preached and I was so completely consumed by the joy of the lord at 14 years of age and never once did they have these lights, the only light that went on was the holy ghost and the joy was so real that I can still feel it today and I'm 63 now. Please get rid of the lights, God don't need that to move or to draw a crowd, just read about The Azusa Street revival that was noised abroad by word of mouth and thousands and thousands of people came from all over the world to find out what this Holy Ghost was all about. @@carsonrogersstudiohow old are you may I respectfully ask? Yeah it's deff pretty and cool, I will admit, but it's not necessary in the house of prayer. @@nanastrippin2006 it’s mainly because of those camera they use for those videos. These newer cameras need more light in order to produce a more professional looking video. If you don’t have enough light then the cameras will not capture good looking footage, it’ll look grainy and distorted.
@@carsonrogersstudiothank you for that explanation , I truly do appreciate your response, but I'm not talking about the "white lights", I'm talking about all the blue and purple and orange disco type illumination on the ceiling and stage, it looks like a rock concert, "no offense". I have been in the church for over 44 years, I grew up listening to Rev Mural Ewing, Reverend StoneKing and Nancy granquist. I got the holy ghost at the general conference in 1974 and I was a teenager at the time and there wasn't any theatrics to draw me or to get my attention, It was the move of God and the demonstration of the holy ghost that caught my attention and I wanted what those folks had, but I didn't quite know what it was, but I loved what I felt when I was at church. It doesn't take theatrics to draw a sincere person to repentance who desires salvation, it takes TRUTH, it takes prayer and it takes a mighty move of God. Sometimes we need to stop talking, singing, playing instruments and turn off all the noise and listen to the voice of God speaking. Once I received the holy ghost, I was lost in the spirit and drunk with joy, while walking back forth between the isles and lost in the spirit and I will never forget that first day. I'm 63 now and still serving the Lord. I've been noticing that there is a trend amongst the upci and other apostolic organizations, who are using this type of lighting. I know what the power of God can do when people start to pray, but now I wonder if it's the beat of the music moving them or is it the holy ghost, it's hard to tell anymore. I remember seeing people laid out on the floor weeping and crying out to God over a simple song such as hallelujah or How Great thou art, or Jesus be the center of my joy. It didn't have to be fast and loud and boisterous and lights flashing all over, with purple and blue lights illuminating stripes on the ceiling, it just took a real hunger for a touch from God and that's what I am alluding to. I'm not complaining, I'm just not ok with The theatrics, The dark auditorium and the lit up stage (like a Christmas tree) and I like Christmas trees, but they have their place. I've been to concerts and I've been to many theaters to see live performances, but I'll never get used to this kind of thing in the house of worship... I still love y'all, just just will never be a fan of these colored lights of distraction from what's really important and that's a move of God, who needs no introduction 😉❤️🙏
