- Welcome to Bangalore to Goa Road Condition vlog Via Dharwad - Ramnagar to Anmod Ghat.
So, we finally made it to Goa.
We were confused about which route to take to reach Goa. After speaking to several people about the best route to reach Goa via Hubli, we zeroed down on the Dharwad - Ramnagar route.
And although the roads were fine in major patches, but, there were some horrible patches of broken roads in the middle.
The potholes were crazy, I mean HUGE. And in certain sections, the roads just caved in. There were no roads, just big dips.
I was driving a BMW, fully loaded, and given the ground Clerance, I was extremely worried maneuvering the car in some sections of the Dharwad Ramnagar toll way.
Honestly, in some sections, I was re-thinking of heading back to Mumbai because the road conditions were horrible. At one of the spots, the pothole was so BIG that I literally stopped there for 5 minutes wondering how I could move ahead safely in the car without scrapping my car.
The road conditions are just horrible, and there is no work ongoing. So, I don't think the Bangalore Goa road conditions via Dharwad Ramnagar and Anmod Ghats are going to improve anytime soon.
In fact, I think the road condition on the Bangalore to Goa via Dharwad - Ramnagar to Anmod Ghat will just continue to go worse since there is no repair work ongoing.
In fact, before taking this road, I had seen an TH-cam video, where someone called the Bangalore to Goa Via Dharwad - Ramnagar to Anmod Ghat road the Death Road. And, now I know why... I completely agree with the title of that video. If you are driving a sedan on this road, please avoid this one.
And if you need to take the Dharwad Ramnagar road to Goa, please drive really slow. Some patches are extremely dangerous.

Can you give details how many kms roads are good from Belagavi?
There is a patch of about 20 odd KMS a little outside Belagavi towards Goa which is full of potholes. One your cross that patch, you will enjoy the drive and the beautiful roads after that. Happy travelling.

Hi , I am going to Goa just after 2 days. My initial plan was to go Goa via Anmod ghat. Fortunately after seeing your video, I am changing my plan to take chorla ghat. So what will you recommend ?
Hi, if you drive a Sedan, Chorla Ghat is a little better than Anmod Ghat for sure. But the initial section of Chorla Ghat has huge potholes too. After that, it's a very good drive via Chorla Ghat. Happy journey and have a great time.
