  • It's winter storming across Canada and today Saskatoon was hit with another winter storm, and with all the snow and hard ice on the roads makes for a perfect slippery roads. Always be careful when you drive on slippery roads and make sure to always have a buffer zone in front of your vehicle! Drive safe everyone!

Every province seems to have at least one highway that is treacherous year round. In Alberta, the Queen Elizabeth II highway between Calgary and Edmonton is notorious for accidents. I was on it a few days ago and it was scary. The speed limit on the highway is normally 110 km/hr but everyone was doing between 30-60 km/hr. Even with the slow speeds, I saw a dozen cars and a semi in the ditches.
Driving on the Queen Elizabeth II highway summer is bad as well because of the amount of traffic but winter is definitely the worst time to travel on that highway.
If the weather is really bad, the tow trucks are not to retrieve cars. They can pick up occupants of cars but it may be a couple of days before they are given permission to start hauling cars away

ramtin cm not at all my friend! I drive a 2 wheel car, and I’m fine in the winter, you just gotta be mindful and careful!

Front wheel is good enough, almost all the roads get maintained, just when it gets bad it’s hard to keep up with it, they plow these roads all night for the day drivers

Yeah if you drive a 2wd vehicle you’ve just got to be on your toes and an hood pair of winter tires is highly recommended. Last year I drove a bmw and only got stuck once in my driveway after 8 inches of snow and once on a really steep hill after some slush had froze overnight so I just backed down and timed the light

Why do you tailgate so much ? That's bad driving anytime of the year but in winter it's beyond foolish, in all my years on the Canadian roads in winter going is not the issue it's stopping !!! It just stupid like using all year tires in the winter that's the biggest lie tire company's have going.
