If you want a 2x2x2 system that works try the 360 bandits. I have been running the for 4 years now and have not touched them they work perfectly. No scrapers no maintenance no worries
They don’t work around here. A lot of our ground is terraced and it’s breaking the bandits all to pieces as they cross over them. I also don’t like how shallow they put the fertilizer in the ground. It’s super important on the depth placement of the fertilizer in relation to the seed.
Is ripping worthwhile in a hayfields with heavy yellow clay here in western New York? my brother‘s not sure it would be worthwhile to do the hayfields with a ripper or not? Just wondering your thoughts on it.
road those tracks on pavement as much as possible...good thinking gang! 👍
I bought the tractor to use not to set in the shed. Tracks wear out we will put another set in it.
We farm south Alabama and northern Florida. Just peanuts and cotton.

How close to planting do u stop ripping? I’ve always tried to rip in the fall to early winter but never get the acres done that I would like.
We rip directly in front of the planter.
👍🇺🇸
Do you run the ripper right on top of the row? And plant basically right where the ripper ran?
Yes. We rip everything on 30” centers then set the planter back down on the ripper.
Yes we set the planter back on the ripper
That looks like a Case IH 2500 ripper?
It is.

Yes. Compaction is a yield robber in any crop including hay. It’s will also allow oxygen and water infiltration.
