False humility is thinking you are not worthy to do what God wants you to do which is true But REAL humility is knowing God is all powerful and he can do anything and God is worthy. Esther thought she couldn't do it (which is true)but by the Help and Almighty power of God he helped her and God even saved the Jews. Hope this helps
ViOLET music Hey, I support you, I’m sorry you had to go through so much and I know you’re so awesome after all of it. How you feel is totally normal and you are going to get better. Honestly, the fact that you decided to try to get help and watch this video too just goes to show how amazing you are. Keep being you :)) ❤️
This really hit the nail on the head for me: I struggle with pride and I had no clue how bad it was. I have been trying to think of me less and more of others. I’m the same way with compliments which made me believe I was humble, yet my behavior shows pride and selfishness. Please pray that God will mold me into a better creation to do His work
Humility to me is apologising to someone even if you think they are the ones who wronged you. Humility means knowing that you can't do anything without God.
Whenever I do things whether its for church or a project for school, I do it with the intent that it could benefit someone see God through me. so when people tells me wow that was good I always tell them thank you I'm glad it has helped you. Humility is shown, not to brag about.
Now that I’m growing up, I’ve taken gods word more seriously, i wanna have a relationship with god, but I fell down and lost track and I wanna get back up but it’s hard, so this is what They meant when they said a relationship with got isn’t easy going. But I’m gonna get back up and obey is words, i always pray to our father for strength.
I loved that C. S. Lewis book! It felt weird at first to read from the enemy's perspective, but it made me look at my life from a different angle, kind of like watching myself from the outside. That quote you mentioned stood out to me as well. I have a lot of work to do when it comes to humility. I have to admit that I absolutely struggle with that one.
haha I'm so glad I'm not alone in not knowing what to say when people compliment me! I used to get so awkward or feel guilty saying "thank you" and I would want to fit so much in a tiny response. I ended up just saying "thank you" because saying, "all the glory to God" was a mouthful and felt artificial because I was saying it because I knew I should. You bring up a good point by saying that humility is about thinking of ourselves less. We should not always be peering in but instead look around and think of the needs and desires of those around us. This was a really helpful video, thank you for sharing! :)
This is so helpful, thank you! For a long time I assumed that being humble just being a doormat but this has been so helpful. We’re not degrading ourselves but putting others first.
Humility is actually being able to turn the other cheek, representing God in all kinds of situations. This is by far the hardest thing to do as it is natural to just fight back. It's not an indication of love but rather hatred. And we are proving to God that what he says doesn't matter to us. But when we fail to do these things, then we are to go to God and ask for his help.I did this practically, I had an addiction of masturbation and porn-tried all kind of ways to quit and I couldn't. so I became humble to God and asked for help,God himself spoke to me audibly at that moment. After that incident, I had an instruction from him and all I had to do was just do that. The addiction didn't go away but however God revealed to me why not and I was satisfied because now God was teaching why certain things enslave us. Now it doesn't enslave me because I understood how God works and I know only how it will go away but it's time hasn't come yet. It's been a learning process and am assured of the kingdom of God now. God is so real! So faithful and powerful. So it is important to lay down all our issues to God for his help that he takes care of them
This comment really stands out to me and has stuck with me the most. I never knew the root word of humility and the meaning of it until now, and I think it really puts everything into perspective. This might sound morbid at first, but when we die, we all return to the same level as each other - the ground, soil. Past kings and queens, anyone who held some sort of status, when they die, what meaning does their status hold? The throne moves to someone new, and that person who was so "high up" is now in the same spot as everyone else who has passed. The world we live in brings us temporary happiness, temporary pleasure, but none of it lasts forever. Who are we to place ourselves above others, or think so highly of ourselves when we all go to the same place. We are all moving towards the same end - death. What does make a difference, though, is where we go after death. The only One who can judge is He, Himself. He is the deciding factor to where we go. Wrapping ourselves in earthly concerns isn't going to get us anywhere once life on Earth is irrelevant to us. We all must stay grounded now and forever.
Interesting way to look at it. The way I interpreted it is to take the credit if its given to you, but don't go out and do things for the sake of the credit or validation
I feel like you felt all the time. Like finding myself being like "omg I'm so humble" or "I'm such a good Christian" I'm trying not to over think it and focus on God
As I grow older I have become more humble. I am grateful and blessed that God has instilled the abilities I have been given by him. I am thankful and humbled by his love he has given me. He and my family. Showing me the true path more and more each day. Thanks for this video. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for your engaged illuminated outreach . Positive assistance. To share, I have read: 'humility is not thinking less of ourselves instead simply thinking more of how Christ is'
At times when people come to me for help or advice sometimes i feel a slight change in my mind, some preachers would say they feel like they have been inhabited by the spirit or the lord when they give a speech etc, anyway for me its more like a change in mind where the words dont really feel like they are coming from me, in times like that i know that god is reaching out to the person that is seeking help through me, when they would thank me etc yeh i would say thank you to but when i feel that it was gods doing i always let them know that its god who really deserves their thanks
Great video again Justin! That quote towards the end is one of my favourites on humility. We're pros at deflecting compliments and putting ourselves down in Britain, so it took a while to learn this, haha! But I really believe the most humble people are often the most confident too, because they're not so wrapped up in what people think about them.
God has been talking to me about humility for two weeks and I kept trying to do better but I wasn’t. Out of all the humility videos I watched this is the main one where I feel like I took/learned something that I can apply so practically. This video truly helped me understand what He meant. I was so blessed by this. Thank you for making it so simple for me to understand!!!! God bless you! I know you stopped these videos around the time I first got saved but I hope to see you make some more videos one day. I truly learned a lot from you! This channel is still inspiring to me til this day and I haven’t seen one of your videos since 2019. So I know it was nothing but God that this came on my feed to help me better understand humility. God bless you again!!!! 🙏🏾❤️
Yes I agree with you. To be humble is to think that it is God who works through us to will and to act for His pleasure (Phil 2:13). It is God who gives us capacity, ability, strength to do something wonderfully.
Yay for addressing the easy pitfall of false humility. A few thoughts that came up and I believe are complementary: "True humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less" - and not believing what you or others say about you, but what God says about who you are. (which to someone only knowing the former could sound beyond proud because nobody think more highly of you than God) Also, there was a moment in your video that bordered on creating a false dichotomy along the lines of "the choice is to either reject praise for something and implicitly deny the power of God, or to just accept the praise, but not forget who gave you the gift." I don't see that dichotomy at all and, given it's genuine, consider something like this: Someone: your [video] is absolutely amazing, you are so [insightful, wise and funny]! You: Thank you! I am actually amazed myself how well I can [express His truth and love]. (The more my relationship with God grows and I am surrendering my own wisdom and am renewed in Him, the more I experience the reality that) He truly gave me His nature, I am truly in Him and He is in me, and with Him all things are possible and there is absolutely no limit to my potential to [speak God's truth in a way that can touch people's hearts and help them know God better]. Shalom aleichem
that's quote about humility made me seriously meditate on it for a while. your videos are definitely a godsend as it teaches me new things/helps me to reevaluate my choices to be more of a resemblance of God's character ☺️ God Bless!
That message was quite thought provoking. It brought to light something that few of us likely ever think about in our struggle to be good, faithful Christians. Thanks for sharing that! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Great way of putting it. I have six kids .I have been using this like a Bible thought for us as a family just before bed. For spiritual growth. Great simple message. God bless you n keep on pressing forward and thank you for blessings us with your message.
I can only do this with my wife and people very close to me and who know me well. Sometimes my wife will say something like, "That was a great sermon." I'll reply, "I know!" But I say it with a sense of wonder and surprise. The fact of the matter is that the almighty God does use feeble, fallible people, like me, to accomplish His purpose. I study. I try to speak clearly. I give it my best shot. On the other side of the ledger, I pray and I seek the empowerment of the Spirit. Sometimes God uses me and I know it. There's no pride there. It's truly humbling. Good work, Justin.
I believe true humility comes from the realization that all humans sin and to begin to love one another. For when love abounds, God's message is shown by those who bear humility.
Thank you so much for this video. Honestly I’ve been wondering how I could humble mystery more because I tend to not believe that anything good can come out of me, or discourage myself. Now I know that such a mentality does not glorify God at all, nor makes Him pleased. Thank you so much ☺️ May the Lord our God be with you all the days of your and your family member’s lives❤️
Hey justin great video, I myself also had a misunderstanding of the word Humble. See when I accepted Jesus as Lord, my mind was soaking up everything that occurred around me, as in the people at church and other Christian brothers I met along the way. I never understood when people would actually say that they are "Humble". Dont know why people would boast about them being humble, to me it seemed as if they were self contradicting . I believe being humble is something that is expressed truly by the power of God, if humble means to not be proud or arrogant about something then why boast about being humble lol. Anyways thanks for sharing your ideas and thoughts, this is all a learning experience. God bless.
+The Chozen Few haha my friends and I would joke and say things like, "I'm the most humble out of everyone" or something silly like that. It does seem self defeating to claim something like that doesn't it?
Whenever someone praises me, I have to say 'Praise Jesus' because it is actually Him who trained me, saved me and brought me where I am. This is true that I was a nobody and on the path of destruction but God saved me. Now when people seek my advice and graciously my advice seems Godly, I bloat up. Pride keeps crawling in even though my goal is to be humble. Another reason could be that I was careless with work at one point of time, however, now God, through a prophecy, has made me a job giver. I selfishly want the business to grow, enjoy the riches, and still want to be humble but pride keeps crawling in. Can someone suggest how to cope up with it?
I'm just learning about true humility now. The Vines dictionary describes it as "love-lying (always in a good sense), humbleness in mind, lowiness of mind" while the dictionary says "not proud or arrogant, modest, lowly, courteously respectful, low in rank, to lower in importance and to destroy the independent power or the will of" WOW right? I was shocked by how little I knew about humility. So in saying all this I would say it's more of an internal response than the outward words that we either say or don't say. I could say "all the glory to God" but on the inside if I'm beaming with pride then thats wrong, God hated pride! God knows our hearts and inner most thoughts so there is no fooling Him!
Enjoyed the video. Thanks. Screwtape letters by cs Lewis shows how many subtle traps we fall into as Christians, thinking we are being Godly when in fact we are being the opposite. Remember the snake in the Garden of Eden was the most cunning of creatures!
Oh thank you so much for this video! I’m so glad I no longer have to feel forced not to accept ANY praise or thanksgiving. While I ALWAYS know it’s really the Holy Spirit who helps me do what I do to help, it felt actually prideful to not take ANY credit, like a Christian clique. Yes, just say thank you if someone compliments you and know and thank the Holy Spirit when you are alone! Just know you are partnering with God, you’re not God!!!
Yup, humility, pride and even Holy. One of our pastors came from a denomination where all of the church leaders seemed to compete for holiness of all things. He was filling in for our lead pastor and joked about everyone being holy at his previous church. Quite funny, I addressed him as your Holiness for awhile after that.
I once complimented a speaker on his sermon. He said it was all god's doing. I felt chastened, not spiritual, though he probably told himself, "My but I'm righteous."
All great points! Another thing to add is that in order think of yourself less, you'll need to start thinking about something else more. All throughout scripture we're pointed to Jesus as the ultimate example of humility (in Philippians 2:1-11 especially). And from the way Jesus' talks we can discern some of the things He thinks about: the Father, scripture (just the OT at the time), and [drumroll]... us! In Phil 2 it says, "...in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others," which is exactly what Christ did on the cross! : )
Trying to understand this better in typing this comment.....I remember feeling bad saying "Praise the Lord" when people commented because I actually wasn't sure whether it was merited. At the same time if it blessed someone that is the point and I am grateful for that. Hmmmm eye-opener indeed. Perhaps doing the putting down "humility" when that is not what God wants. He wants us to be happy as Co-workers with Him. Grateful that every talent is given by Him to be used. Hmmmm. I guess just be happy people are benefited & receive that benefit that I am seeking to give for myself too.
Thank you for this. Its a new point of view and I have actually done the first way you said is the wrong way in the video before. I didn't understand it til now. Thank you.
When the scientific revolution came, part of Christian Theology separated into Cosmology, Sociology, and Psychology. This gave us a tetrahedron of Christian faith- we all seem to lie somewhere there.
At 1 Peter 3 v 8 it tells us "All of you be...........humble in mind" To be God's friends, we must be "humble in mind" (Psalms 138 v 6) The importance of humility is shown in an illustration found in the book of Judges chapter 9. The olive tree, the fig tree, and the vine represented worthy individuals who did not seek to rule over their fellow Israelites. But the bramble represented the Kingship of proud Abimelech, a murderer eager to dominate others. Abimelech met an untimely death. (Judges 9 v 8--15, and verses 50--54) How much better it is to be "humble in mind" In the first century CE, when Herod Agrippa was giving a public address, the crowd cried out; "A God's voice and not a man's" Herod did not reject such adulation, and God's Angel struck him so that he died a terrible death, "because he did not give the glory to God." (Acts 12 v 20--23) Maybe we are skilled personally as a speaker or a teacher of bible truths? Then let us credit God for what he allows us to do. ( Corinthians 4 v 6--7)
i watched this because i watch last time about all demons and everything considered in it then i got scared i might go to hell so i started searching how to be humble goodthing i found you bro
@ThatChristianVlogger , I can dig it my brother. I've often thought twice... then 3 times, and... I'll stick w/thinking twice. Good info my friend. I especially like how the human animal has a build where the head kinda' bops all over the place with the appendages accentuating their expressions with motions. I think you've got it right though. May The Lord Bless Your Work.
Yes the gospel is all about humility. Being humble is the only way you can learn the gospel. Then you begin to understand your true self through repenting and laboring to understand the word and for what Jesus called the food that does not perish. Because I am one of those who have found the world a worrisome place until Jesus gave me an out and lifted the weight off....a little more each day as my understanding grows. Just like the mustard seed. Persevere! I say to myself His words are Spirit and they are life. and just a cautionary tale to those that smoke a lot of reefer and you don't have Jesus as your rock your foundation then you are likely to have a psychotic episode.
Wonderful bro God bless you, make some more videos on other positive attitudes which can draw us near to God. God bless you, in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
Amen omg I was just saying this same thing today. And thinking bout how deep and interesting that is. The same typa humility your explaining to not deny your God given talents and everything else good when complemented cause the true root of that false humility for show has a root of pride. I'm happy. Thanx👍👏
That quote is amazing, i did the same exact thing you did with going up to preachers and repeating those words and was proud of that. That quote.. wow, thinking of myself less. This will stay with me, I don't quite fully understand it, but I know I will in time. I looked for anything on humility cuz and this video was the first thing that I saw. I am grateful, jouyous and just ahhhh. So very happy. Thank you and thank you God for leading me here. I'll check your channel out too since this is the first time here.
The way I try to keep humble is to remember that all of my righteousness is like filthy rags. Also when I compare myself with Jesus, then I realize just how pitiful I really am.
"True humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less" this one will be staying with me.
Really great quote! I think it's a Rick Warren quote
It is C.S. Lewis.
One of my favorite quotes by C.S. Lewis.
IM A VISAYA(FILIPINO) I DO NOT REALLY UNDERSTAND IT .. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME CLEARLY...
..let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written,
Humility is overlooking an insult, loving the unlovable, and being a servant to others.
TRUE GOSPEL thank you, sir.
I need prayer to help me with this!
❤️
"I became more and more PROUD about how HUMBLE I was".....wao! that's powerful!
So do not say I can't do it (because you are trying to be humble) but instead say God can do it and he has all the strength
The Call says this from morning star
Awesome teaching
Your words are so comforting. It eases the emotional pain i felt inside.

Humility root word is "humus". This means soil. Be on the ground, brother....

@@JustinKhoe l like that response. Knowing who you are and whose you are. No more or less.
@@JustinKhoe What is your take on locus of control?

I never understood when people would actually say that they are "Humble". Dont know why people would boast about them being humble, to me it seemed as if they were self contradicting . I believe being humble is something that is expressed truly by the power of God, if humble means to not be proud or arrogant about something then why boast about being humble lol. Anyways thanks for sharing your ideas and thoughts, this is all a learning experience. God bless.
+The Chozen Few haha my friends and I would joke and say things like, "I'm the most humble out of everyone" or something silly like that. It does seem self defeating to claim something like that doesn't it?
Definitely does lol
Wow thanks so much. I've learnt on what true humility means 🔥🔥❤️
This is one of the best explanations of humility I have found here on the tube... thx u
Very nice input on "humble-bragging". Thank you for sharing.
I think humillty is also boosting in the goodness of God!!
YES!!!
You are a blessing Justin. This video really spoke to me! May God continue to use you mightily for His Glory.
Thanks Jeff! Glad to be a blessing!
That's a good message on Humility. Thank you.
This was completley eye opening, your input really is wonderful. I can see the lord working in your life greatly
Just trying to pass along what I learn! :)
Yup, humility, pride and even Holy. One of our pastors came from a denomination where all of the church leaders seemed to compete for holiness of all things. He was filling in for our lead pastor and joked about everyone being holy at his previous church. Quite funny, I addressed him as your Holiness for awhile after that.
lol! "Your Holiness"- love it
Thank you so much. You have confirmed what Jesus was saying to me. May the Lord continue to give you wisdom. Amen
Amen :)
Being greatful & being thankful
I once complimented a speaker on his sermon. He said it was all god's doing. I felt chastened, not spiritual, though he probably told himself, "My but I'm righteous."
lol, I can't speak for him... but that's exactly what went through my mind when I said it
This video was such a blessing today, exactly, what I have been thinking about and struggling with!!
Thanks for this!
Glad it was timely for you!
More and more proud..of how humble i was....that speaks
Woow.. All i wanna say is, YOU ARE NOT JUST ONE PERSON. But that was God Himself speaking.. amen
I subscribed because i see thay you reall are a true Christian!!! this was great!!!cont. spreading God's word!!
Thank you for that message sir!. Very helpful to undertstand more about "BEING HUMBLE".
yes yes, indeed!
Wonderful video message on true humility with a beautiful quote at the end. Thank you for posting this my friend!
Thankyou for this brother, Holy Spirit talked to me through this video 🙏
Wow thank you
You're really good at communicating humility clearly Good job
I am having pride in my heart .please JESUS help me to live a humble life in JESUS name Amen
Yeah, its something we should be happy and grateful of when God uses us
Thanks for this video.
im searching for something that can stop me being boasting soo soo much.and imma try to change that attitude cuz its just so like weird
Mind blown 🤯 with that quote. Love it ! ❤️
Thanks for this video brother. This was absolutely eye opening for me. God bless you and keep it up!
Awesome stuff! Blessings to you too!
At 1 Peter 3 v 8 it tells us "All of you be...........humble in mind" To be God's friends, we
must be "humble in mind" (Psalms 138 v 6) The importance of humility is shown in an
illustration found in the book of Judges chapter 9. The olive tree, the fig tree, and the vine
represented worthy individuals who did not seek to rule over their fellow Israelites. But the
bramble represented the Kingship of proud Abimelech, a murderer eager to dominate others.
Abimelech met an untimely death. (Judges 9 v 8--15, and verses 50--54) How much better
it is to be "humble in mind" In the first century CE, when Herod Agrippa was giving a public
address, the crowd cried out; "A God's voice and not a man's" Herod did not reject such
adulation, and God's Angel struck him so that he died a terrible death, "because he did not
give the glory to God." (Acts 12 v 20--23) Maybe we are skilled personally as a speaker or
a teacher of bible truths? Then let us credit God for what he allows us to do. ( Corinthians
4 v 6--7)
Many beautiful girl tend to be more silent to say others they are humble which not true hence hindering them to be part of the reasons
Yet it means being humble in your mind, heart or soul
Thanks bro really needed this video
Thanks for clarifying, brother ✝🙏😊!
You know this guy has great energy.
Marianne Williamson's book a return to love is a rather lovely read that will humble you surely.
i watched this because i watch last time about all demons and everything considered in it then i got scared i might go to hell so i started searching how to be humble goodthing i found you bro
Well said brother ,blessed
this video helped me out. thx buddy. keep the good work up
Hello... Your content is always on point!!! Great job on your channel. Congrats on all the new subscribers. Blessings from Florida 🌴☀👍
Thanks! Glad to put the time into it :)
Good video! I like the last quote! Nice shirt!
Thanks Toya! We'll be ready in the new year to share them with you all!
I'm happy. Thanx👍👏
Thank you I’m truly grateful
Exactly what I needed thankyou
i would say "thankyou Glory to God"
Humility of heart by Cajetan Mary da Bergamo lays it all out for us
One of the thickest thin books on the subject, if you know what I mean
I love it man. Dope content, delivery, breakdown and anchoring it all to God. Keep it going, bro! @thatchristianVlogger
Thank you this really help me🙏🏾
I am still learning that
That quote is amazing, i did the same exact thing you did with going up to preachers and repeating those words and was proud of that.
You explained that so well
Well said 👏🏻
Great video
I'm still confused about the word humble does that mean peace or happy
Thank u for this topic ... Itbreally changes my mind set abiut being humble
The way I try to keep humble is to remember that all of my righteousness is like filthy rags. Also when I compare myself with Jesus, then I realize just how pitiful I really am.
