Just did the same thing here in Vermont on my fat bike. Ice for 4 miles and then soft trail with mud. What fun. Fenders help. Then for the clean up. Thanks for the video and take care, Al
Kevin. I would definitely prefer to ride on short stretches of dry sand instead of sloppy mud and slush any day The great thing about your channel is that you have fun wherever you are. Good to see you back at the river bottoms!
Thanks man! I have never adventured to fat tire. Thinner tires have a lot less resistance. Had a new school BMX that was running 20x2.30's and I felt like a toddler on a balance bike! Gave it to a kiddo at the Skatepark. After I dug in 6" or so of sand at Palo Duro Canyon and played Superman over vintage Bull-Moose bars, it may be worth a shot. Thanks. ✌️
Gotta get out to Theodore Wirth! The trails are groomed for XC skiing and fat biking. I was over there a few days ago and there was still plenty of snow though I don't know how long that will last.
Oh my dude... ya, this year has sucked for fat biking, and river bottoms is rough when there's not good snow. Great job pushing through though! Next year, the snow's going to be awesome right? Right???? It has to be... right???
I started the winter looking to get a fat bike, but after no snow by January in WNY I gave up the idea until next winter. Hopefully me purchasing then doesnt jinx the snow again.

Glad you got out on the bike! How did you do on the ice? Do you have studded tires?

yeah that mud is definitely a mood killer. I hope you are also out on the bike again and healed up after surgery!
Kevin. I've been riding every chance I get. Fyi....my knee surgery was 2 and a half years ago. It's as good as new! @@KevDoes

haha yeah, but glad you're okay after the crash!
@@KevDoes lots of sand makes for a soft landing at least. I was on my 1987 Summit Survivor.

Really? That’s awesome! Ok I will thank you
These trails are awesome! I’ve ridden them with a bit more snow. Great spot near downtown!
All the way here in Minneapolis? That's awesome!
That poor fatbike!😂What a crazy winter it has been!
It’s getting a nice deep clean 😅
That Otso is a pretty sweet FB. Looked like a fun ride, the right terrain and plenty of mud.
The bike is seriously awesome!

Haha I am sitting here crossing my fingers it's better
That water crossing was mint 🤘
It was really fun too!

I feel you, I was so excited to really get some good fat bike miles this winter but no luck!
Unlock some fun in the desert sand and chonk out west. I realize that's a looong way from MN but it would be worth a try someday.
Heading out the way in just a few weeks :)
@@KevDoes Fatbikes can make crappy desert trails fun to ride. Trails that wouldn't be so fun on a traditional MTB with 2.2" tires. Have fun!
Come explore the remote, sandy logging roads of NW Wisconsin (2hrs north of the cities) some time.
You offering to be my guide?
@KevDoes heck yeah! I live here and ride these trails daily. Can show you the great places that fat bike can take you

Been riding a phatty since 2017. Most fun you can have at 4.5 mph!
Haha that’s the best way to describe it
now that looked like fun.
It honestly was. Can’t wait to try it on real snow
They say it's fun on a fat bike.
It was actually pretty fun
