      When the Certosa tunnel was crossed by the legendary line 10, it was operated as if it were a single track railway complete with a pilot stick handed over to the driver (or to the last of the 3 if the journey was made with three vehicles) which authorized him to enter the long tunnel

    Thanks for filming and posting!
    I can remember having taken the Genova metro some years ago and the tunnels were fully lighted up, just like in this video. Are they permanently lighted up, and if so, why? (As it is quite a waste of energy)

      Thank you for everything.
      The tunnels are always lit, I think for safety reasons.

    Bel video. Ma al posto della musica non era meglio lasciare i rumori del convoglio in marcia?

    • @nikkonistico
      @nikkonistico  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Essendo una giornata dedicata alla visita all'impianto la cabina era piena di gente, non si percepivano i rumori di fondo, solo gran vociare

    Hi!
    Is there anyone who can tell me something about the signal aspects used on this system?
    I noticed that, as well as the standard red (stop, danger) green (proceed) and yellow (caution) aspects, there was also a red + yellow aspect and a flashing green aspect - it's obviously exceptionally rare to use a red/yellow combination of aspects as this is not inherently fail-safe!
    What are the meanings of the red + yellow and the flashing green aspects?

      In most Italian metro network signals don't actually represent the free of way, they only inform the driver of the maximum speed allowed on the next block section.
      In Milan the meanings are: Red = Stop, Red with "P" (Permissivo, permissive) = 15 with extra caution, Red-Yellow = 25 (formerly 30), Yellow = 45 (formerly 50), Green = 70 (formerly 85).
      In Rome the meanings are: Red = Stop, Red with "P" (Permissivo, permissive) = 15 with extra caution, Red-Yellow = 30, Yellow = 50, Yellow flashing = 65, Green = 80.
      I'm not sure how the meanings work in Genoa but it's probably based on these schemes.
      All numbers are expressed in km/h.

      Usually the trains are automatic, the driver only opens and closes the doors. If he wants to drive the train manually, he just follows the instructions on the on-board screen and not the signals, which as you may have noticed are not present in the tunnels.
      The meanings are as follows:
      Flashing Green - Track clear. Follow on-board instructions or if faulty go at a max of 30kph.
      Green - Track clear. Follow on-board instructions or if faulty go at a max of 15kph.
      Yellow - Track partially occupied. Proceed and follow on-board instructions. If the on-board instruments are not working you must consider the signal as red.
      Red - Stop.
      Red and Yellow - Used only in certain places where the trains can turn around. It just says that the switches are in the correct position and will not move.

      @@nikkonistico ma come si chiama il programma?

    • @nikkonistico
      @nikkonistico  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Blender, è un programma per Mac, utilizza alcune librerie già a corredo.Occorre quindi apportare le modifiche in base alle proprie necessità e renderizzare i fotogrammi necessari alla sigla (nel caso specifico sono oltre 600)... la macchina è stata 3 giorni a lavorarci dietro senza pause.Se cerchi in rete dovresti trovarlo in qualche modo :-)
