Tour Of The Amazing Lichfield Cathedral

As far as cathedrals go this is one of the nicest we have visited. The work that has gone into this building is incredible. Is there really a saint with a light sabre sculpted near the entrance?

Did you notice the 'kink' of the cathedral. The building kinks to the left from the centre to the rear. A guide noticed my observation and explained that it was necessary as the rock on which it was built also kinked to the left. Just one of many factoids about the place!'

What? No dirty or tawdry stories? No murders or abductions? You usually have some juicy tidbits about the places you visit. Lichfield seems a tad placid. It is nice though. The stone work is fantastic.
