@couchinvestor what tool are you using when you show the graphics with pe, ev/ebidta, p/fcf and PEG? Is this koyfin? it ssems like a different tool. I would like to use the same
What aboutl incoming lawsuits.. Delta CEO said they don't have a choice but to sue after losing half a billion dollars that day. He is one of many.. Though I bought the dip I'm considering selling.. The lawsuit will pile high by next quarter there's no way around it. The stock will certainly trade down because of this uncertainty at least until next earnings. As a matter of fact I'm selling the stock right now 😅
I've looked into it a bit. Contracts are likely written to protect the supplier in the event an outage occurs. Plus corporations are typically covered by insurance for such issues. And insurance companies were seeing less claims than they were expecting for this event. Which indicates to me that most companies were back up and running pretty quickly, and really didn't suffer much business impact.
I agree that “real men push straight to production” is a stupid company practice but the company has a unique and leading software. A failed update is not enough to affect it much.
I've looked into the legalities a bit. The net is that such contracts are generally written to protect the supplier in the event an outage occurs. Incident was in July (Q3) so will see the impact next quarter, if any!

Microsoft said that Delta is still using stone age systems
Great work as usual
Thank you :)
This company screwed and crippled its customers with its ridiculous update. Hard to trust them ever again.

Most companies recovered pretty quickly.
Clearly the companies are happy to continue with them

Thanks for the added color!
