It's a big step for everyone-- but an extremely big step if you've grown up hearing all sorts of crazy myths about Catholicism...

For defending my sponsor from a slanderer, I was arrested and thrown in jail during my OCIA experience due to my tendency to recidivism. Thankfully such things don't disqualify. I was just learning the Rosary and didn't know the mysteries so being I was in jail I prayed a Rosary meditating upon the trials of St Paul.

As a former cradle Catholic, I found it very difficult to separate from Roman Catholicism. Change is the hardest thing anyone can do, but we all should follow the Holy Spirit's leading (which is what I did).

Dear Rexlion4510, I respect what you have gone through. It is difficult to go through intense, spiritual changes. But, you are always welcome to come back home if you change your mind.

@@RitaGatton Your home is the Roman Catholic Church. You are recruiting for the Roman Catholic Church.
My home is in heaven with my Lord Jesus Christ who sits at the Father's right hand, and I now recruit for Him.
In whom have you placed your trust for eternal life: your church, or the One who died on the cross to redeem you from your sins?

@@rexlion4510 If you trust the Lord, you should trust the Church he founded... But I understand the struggle.
I spent most of my life away from Christ completely, before He brought me back.

@@shaulkramer7425 I am in the church Jesus founded. You and I define "the church" differently, is all. To you it's the hierarchical organization with clergy at the helm, and Catholics trust the clergy. To me the church is the sum total of all born-again believers in and followers of Christ, through faith in His blood, and the head (which I totally trust) of this church is Jesus Christ (not a pope).

@@rexlion4510 I'm afraid you're a victim of extremely poor catechesis... The Pope claims no headship of the Church. He is only the keeper of the keys. The Prime Minister if you will.
The invisible church you claim is impossible as it includes in its ranks outright heretics and blasphemers, how do you know the true faithful from the misguided? What essentials of faith can you claim to be universal, unless you have a standard to judge by?... So unless you think the Holy Spirit is ok with such division, I'm not sure how you can justify it.
All that being said, I wish you all the best in your journey. May the Lord be with you all your days.
