Hey everyone welcome back to another video. Today I am super excited were taking a look at Thors Best Selling Class C Motorhome. This is the 2021 Thor Chateau 31w. This is a great class C motorhome with Theater seats. What I love about this RV is that it is one of the few Class Cs RVs in my opinion that will work for fulltime living. Also for those of you who are wondering this is the sister product to the Thor Fourwinds 31w.

Why are American rvs so cheap looking, compared to European rvs of similar price levels? American rvs look like cardboard and laminates slapped on, while European models look like high end designed yachts?
When you have a set order to see things and say the same phrases, that's Art Deco, right? Love the channel, don't change a thing!!
Nice class C. However, I know that the step up into the bedroom, uh yea, I would forget that it's there and probably kill myself.
I really enjoy reading the comments and seeing how much I have with people around the country. Lol
I want to full time in a class C, but are there any with a combo washer/dryer? I know they are not the best but better than nothing.

The propane ovens found in RVs are almost worthless. IME, convection ovens are far more reliable and consistent. Once you understand how they work, you'll find you get much better results from even an inexpensive convection oven than you will with the most expensive propane units.

You’d be surprised but a lot of us older folks would be looking forward to seeing an oven in there. Hard to change from our old ways! Great looking RV. We’re not too crazy about those twisty things on the outside doors either. (I think that’s what you called them!)

1. Needs a window on the front of the bunk area - better light
2. Walk space between table and theater seats seems a bit tight
3. Wish they could have put in a washer/dryer with all those storage cabinets
Loves:
1. I really like the decor (sorry Andrea) the light furniture and counter top brighten it enough for me
2. The tall windows on each side of the TV rather than the long low window we've seen. Much better option
3. Awesome storage - inside and out

Andrea mentions that the bed is accessible even when boon docking. Does that mean you can't/shouldn't open your slides when boon docking? Sorry, amateur here.
When boondocking out in open lands it is fine. Do not pull out your slides (if possible) when overnighting it at Walmart/Cabala's/ Cracker Barrel or truck stops.
Who sings ‘Carmina Burana’ for a search of dislikes? Likes: price. storage, yes. Color outside, yes, outside storage, yes. Dislikes: shower. Cabinets in corner/angle. Accordion door bedroom.
Who doesn't sing O' Fortuna on a regular basis for anything? :-P
@@CaptainDawg02 Thanks for the specifics on "O' Fortuna" I was answering quickly and didn't specify the tune.
Dislikes: NO Conventional Oven, radial shower (cheap hoses and shower head, short goose neck faucet in bathroom sink), only one AC unit. Likes: Ford Chassis, over all kitchen design, generator placement under dinette! Great Review You Two (G.R.Y.T)!!!!
Likes: theatre seats facing TV, pantry, all the storage
Dislikes: twisty storage doors that drop down, (prefer side opening), step up in hall, accordian door in bedroom.
This one is a contender. Likes: 1. It's pretty on the inside and outside 2. Bed is always a bed! 3. Theatre seats! Dislikes: 1. gas is on the wrong side 2. dump station / tanks whatever that was is weird 3. over 30' womp-womp
Oh- you quoted one price while showing a ‘buy now’ for a few thousand less- (couldn’t see whole price but it was clearly 89k vs 92k you mentioned)
This has been happening more frequently where the price he quotes, and the discount, doesn't match what is displayed
What’s happening is he says the price from the website and when he edits a few days later the price changes. That’s why he puts in the insert

RV is almost perfect.. if it had about 8 more inches in the slide-out to give a more roomy feel, I would buy this in a heartbeat.

Matt, I'm just commenting here because I would have written the same thing. He must be a fellow Art Deco member, hehe
Thor is doing a good job on these Class C's. Like their Super C's, it has the Induction/gas combo cooktop, Contoure rapid cold fridge, tankless water heater. Even have good size counter space in kitchen. I would make couple changes to make this great Class C into an perfect Class C. Since it already have an big wardrobe in the bedroom, the wardrobe infront of bathroom should be optioned as at least washer/dryer combo ready. Then, I would make the night stand cabinet on the left side of the bed a little narrower and make the bathroom bigger. By doing so, you could put a bigger rectangular shaped shower on the right side and move the sink and toilet to the left side of the bathroom.
Preferred lighter cabinet colors and where's the euro look?!! Love the openness of the bed on each side. Also people(like me)who travel with cats would like one of the storage compartments set up for a litter box from the inside. Can be serviced from the outside. Yeah, and another thing there was lot of closet space to install a combo
w/d. That would make this a perfect motor home
I absolutely agree. A washer/dryer, preferably a stackable one would be much needed for me. Of course with the cargo carrying capacity being so low I imagine that is the only thing you could have in there besides maybe to skinny people ☺️ 😜

Overall, I definitely like this one especially knowing you have options such as lighter cabinets. Also, tower of power was placed properly.

If the camera could do a pan out and around to show the entire RV, I think it could become very well excepted.

This unit must have been designed by a Canadian.
The fuel fill is on the wrong side for pumps in the USA
The awning should be over the living room and kitchen windows.
Not a blank wall and a door.
At this price - there should not be a space under the sink, big enough for a cat to crawl through.
Under the kitchen sink, I could see the exterior wall.
That is just messed up.
Everything I see wrong could be fixed for less than $5,000 -
So I would still buy this design - with a light colored interior.
I like the bigger V8 engine, theater seats and shower glass door
Don’t like the front seats so low and they don’t swivel.
Love the side mirrors with blinkers, auto leveling, paint job outside. Don't like white furniture it shows dirt too fast prefer couch brown cabinets white. Don't like dinnet prefer desk along wall opens up more walking area and provides woorking/table area.
Dislikes: twisting doors for storage (need side opening gripping handles), one AC unit, no washer/drawer hookup (could have used one of the many wardrobe cabinet, non-swivel captains chair, no daytime shades in addition to privacy shades, no oven.
Likes: TV facing recliner seats (not in over overhead and swivel out), side table next to bed and drawer underneath (for CPAP users), contrast of darker option color scheme inside while outside is very light and white, storage underneath dinette seating, no window in overhead, auto leveling.

Plenty of exterior and interior storage space including drawers inside the cabinets. Theater seats directly across from the tv and the booth seating. Bed is usable with the slide in.
Dislikes:
Exterior including small tires, twist lock storage doors, non-lockable water fill, and dump area. TPO roof and only one air conditioner. Interior including hallway step, round shower, and no oven.
We like this unit. Lots of storage, good TV placement, love theater seats. Wish cab seats swiveled. Agree with not liking twistie doors.
Thor, GREAT sink, nothing is more annoying than a divided sink where you can’t fit a pot or dish to clean. The theater seating and storage is amazing. If it just had a small washer dryer that would be perfect. Also, love the interior colors.

Dislikes: Accordion bedroom door instead of solid pocket door, bathroom door swings out instead of pocket door, front cab too low now swivel seats.

1, The sale price is way too high.
That's Class A price territory. What're they doing, trying to make up for lost revenue because of the Pandemic? Not good.. and not gonna happen..
2, The driver cab floor and seats don't swivel.
3, TV to small. Come on Thor, get rid of the two useless windows at dinette and put in a 50" plus TV..
4, It may be a 4p pooping position, but you can't get to the sink. 👎
5, No ice maker.
6, Small shower.

2, Thick comfy dinette seats and Theater seating.
3, Gas Oven. We love ovens and microwaves. That way we cook something in both at the same time....
I love this model floorplan, not anymore, especially at $92,000.
I'll throw in another $10k to $15k and get a Class A.
I really like it and would love to own one except… a few MAJOR flaws in my opinion. 1 - Single AC in Texas is no go, 2 WHY are the fuel and water fill on the passenger side, 3 I really prefer an enclosed insulated wet bay / docking station! Still love the fridge, microwave and general layout!

For the price, that gas motorhome looks like an honest bargain to me. you are only giving up so much, but getting enough at the price pointage.

👍 Smashy! Oh great I wanna buy this RV and it comes with a dead battery I saw happen on YT. L: exterior color with continuation of decals over doors and covers; interior space slide in/out and with accessible bed for overnight parking lot boondock; chassis, mechanically cockpit and all-in-one bathroom space. D: accordion door (do understand loss/reduction of bed side table); wonky exterior storage latches and exposed water fills (could they be included within the exterior shower space?); yup, dark interior cabinetry. Be safe everyone, it's getting really bad out here 😷😷😷😷
Dislikes - 1. No hookup for a wash/dryer (I think they could have used one of the closets for it) 2. Lower Cargo capacity. 3. Window in the headboard (I would rather have side windows) 4. No desk at passenger seat. Likes - 1. Theater seats and overall layout. 2. Overall storage. 3. Outside appearance.

1. twisty knobs on the baggage doors
2. the dark cabinets

Needs solar. Don’t do the find dislike dance again. Wish solar from factory. Worry what adding your own does to warranty. All units with 12 v compressor frig should have factory solar 175-200 watts.
Likes: one big sink, size of the bathroom. The colors ( inside & out).
Dislikes: theater seating (I must be the only one who isn’t in love with them- hard got my dogs & I to snuggle on them) . Cargo carrying capacity is too low. Canopy doesn’t extend length of rv.
Wondering is it an option that I could change out the Theater seating for a sleeper sofa?

Like the theater seats plus speakers, like the drawers and plenty storage spaces, like the large fridge. Wish they had king bed instead. My husband is 6’3”. Plus would like roof window above the bunk. I guess we’re looking for a super C that has washer/ dryer stackable.
Coming at you with the hot stack of wax and a single shotgunning to number one. It's the Matt Review with "I need a dislike." LOL. Liking the power plant, theater seats and stove. Not liking the residential Fridge in a class C, the outside storage doors and the dark inside colors. Good video guys and stay safe ya'll.
Why do ALL the rv’s have the tribal paint scheme on their exterior? I didn’t like it in the 90’s and I realize that a lot of people may like it, but they could look so much better. The rv industry could look at the yachting industry and maybe make a few changes. I can’t be the only one who would like to see one with clean lines inside and out. I’m 42, the rv exteriors haven’t changed much in the past 20 years. Why???
Hard to pick a dislike beyond what's been noted, however, I do not like the stark white but prefer a darker base under the geometric swirls. The stark white just looks "cheaper" to me.
I still want an oven. I wonder why an awning can't cover the entire side of an RV. All that space is "living/entertainment space" and should be covered by the awning.
Otherwise, really like this one. Very nice.
Come on guys put some damn solar on these new motor homes. More people find themselves boondocking and need the battery power for lights and charging. It shouldn’t be an option anymore, solar panels, batteries (lithium) and inverters are a must. Good review guys. Cheers!!!

Like inversion cooktop, lots of closet, exterior color. Dislike accordying door, single ac unit, compartment door latches. Also have heard that godzilla engine has been having sparkplug wire issues and supply not meeting demand
Likes, the height of the overhead bunk. For the non paying customers, that is pretty good size. The counter top by the stove is great. Dislikes, terrible bedding, house radio??? Small awning, this should have gone farther toward the rear for shade. 🏕

Outside design, storage below, and cameras, tankless water heater, like that you can access bath and bed with side in, theater seats, TV is in the right spot, auto leveling, great sale price, great counter space with window above it ( would want a regular oven instead of only micro convection combo), bath is very nice, sleeping area is nice, lots of storage inside.
Dislikes: step to bedroom, don’t like the convection microwave and would like a regular oven as I’m short and don’t like the idea of taking something hot out of something high.
I’m like you guys, it’s hard to find anything I dislike. For me I the latches is a dislike. I’m tall and skinny so the shower works. I love where the tv is placed. I love 800 lbs capacity over the cab. I love the bedroom. I never use an oven anyways so not having one is better for me

Dont like the dark cabinets, the shower, and the front seats. Love the layout, the fridge and the outside colors. I also agree with your likes and dislikes.

2. I like the kitchen area. Induction and propane stove, refrigerator is great, large convection microwave and huge sink.

3 Dislikes:
1. Slide in walking path to the front of the coach looks really tight. My bulldog would hate it and take it out on me as I would be driving. Not good!
2. Twist closures on the outside. Hate them.
3. No splash guard behind the sink facing the dinette. I can see bad things happening and they would totally be my fault. I know this. I own this. I do my best to safe guard myself and others for this pain. Help a girl out, would ya? Splash guard please.
Matt. What about the shower for your dislike? I guess that is just a given! That’s my dislike along with yours and Andrea’s list. Storage is good. Love all of the windows. Love the exterior white body and accent paint. Overall good job Thor!

Cup holders, theatre seating, great TV placement, tankless water heater, great kitchen & storage throughout! Not loving that floor, too long for parking in general, won't fit in National Parks!
The floor plan is as close to perfect as you can get.
BUT ... the black & gray tanks are only 28 gallons each. For a 32' rig they should be in the 40 gallon range.
Likes: lots of storage, theater seats, light colored upholstery.
Dislikes: boring ol' inflexible dinette, seats don't swivel, it's soooo long.
And I'm over the dark wood colors too.
Dislike gas fill on camp side you cook on this side not good , door latches , need adjustable shelfs in all over head cabinets. Likes seating , bedroom storage , nice size bathroom. Great job enjoy your videos stay safe 😻🐶
I really like the layout in this , but they need to lighten things up. The majority of these RV's are all so bland in their color schemes. I know they are supposed to be neutral to appeal to everyone's taste but come on add some color, somewhere. On another note I really enjoy your videos , thank you for all the information

There are five things I don’t like....seats don’t swivel, outside color-I like it darker, no oven, the step up-I would probably trip, and the accordion door. Three things I like are....prepped for solar, storage, and the theater seats. This Motorhome was ok but it just seemed like it was just a little cramped. The slide out just didn’t add much space.
I dislike the dark color scheme also. In particular, I dislike the designs on the countertops in the bathroom and beside the bed. Dislike the valances and flooring as well.
I like the seats being up front so everyone can see and travel together. My dislikes no solar installed. This is one I could drive for sure!!!!😇😷😎

Dislike no cover on cooktop, valances and that, although prepped for solar, does not come with a panel.

likes: 1) the tv placement with the windows around the sides, 2) the storage throughout the entire unit, 3) the monitor for the radio/cameras is stationary and build in and does not go back in and out when you turn it on, sorry but those pop out monitors just seem like your adding another piece to break, so good job on this one
dislikes: 1) the outside area seems like it should have a tv or entertainment area, i prefer one, 2) the accordion door, sorry but i'm a fan of the pocket style doors, 3) make one of them closets prepped for a washer/dryer combo....then this unit would be over the top
but overall I really enjoyed this unit, and would consider it in the future
Overall I like the shed to but I think the storage doors could have had slam latches and maybe retaining cables also you always lose me with an accordion style door.
dislike....that outside door with the twisty latch. The inside two tone, it looks like while in construction they made a change and half way through decided not to put an outside kitchen there.
I love the storage, theater seating, and the kitchen. I am not a fan of the Ford chassis is it available on a Chevy chassis? Love the channel.
Dont like door to bedroom, dont like position of toilet. Shower door. Love recliner, refrigerator, all storage. Wish there was washer/ dryer on board
I do not like the level of the night stands, we would hit our heads on that at night while we are sleeping.. Also need more leg room between dining and recliners. Matt do not sing.haha Love you guys you do a great job.
Andrea, thanks for mentioning how tired you are of the dark cabinetry. Matt, if you can find one, Chateau has an interior option called Ivory Coast available with the Home Collection. It’s beautiful! I think Andrea would love it! I love the floor plan of the 31B and would love to hear your review if you can find one in your travels.

I love this one. Love the deep, plentiful storage. Bedroom with actual nightstand and good window placement. Good layout overall.
Dislike, induction and burner. Not crazy about the microwave. Theater seat seem a bit close to the dinette. Matt's feet were almost touching so would be an issue for taller folks.
There is little to hate about this layout. I would love a bathroom window so not to feel claustrophobic. The 🛏️ room is outstanding for those who love to move around the bed 🛌 in order to straighten the sheets and blankets. I would give this motorhome a 9+ out of 10.

This unit needs the cables to restrain the outside basement compartment doors.

Is there a reason you stopped the overlay of "GODZILLA"?
I dislike:
1. No table for the passenger next tot he driver
2. No Panoramic window over the cap bunk
3. location of the USB port for over cap bunk is not proper
4. driver and co-driver seat are not turning
5. outside storage are very small
6. No outdoor TV and sound system
7. No extra bunk beds
