My mom discovered this show and an interest in this stuff. I watched murder she wrote with her as a child. It’s hilarious watching these with her because she thinks I pay such attention to the clues and am always right about who did it. 1st case of DNA was Colin Pitchfork in the UK.
This wasn’t the first case. The first case in the US was in Florida in 1987. The first case solving a murder was in Virginia in 1988.

I'm a member of the Seattle Scooter Demons. I was with my club brothers at a computer cafe, and someone made off with my yellow and blue propeller hat. It was hanging on the wall next to the cappuccino bar. Terrible! Terrible! I even threw a cappuccino all over a couple at the next table! Our Scooter Demon club is out to get that, that Scoundrel who insulted my Club and Manlihood!!!
