I agree don't performing as betadisk but need contextualise the time. Was launch together the FDC-1 MK1 (the first version of the betadisk) that has a limited dos function compare the well know 5.xx. Besides is a interface without FDC. So is not the best interface to use today expecially due place is code on the upper 8kb of the ram but is interesting take a look on it for archeology history.
Oh wow, no dedicated FDC or Co-Processor! 25 chips also isn't overly complex. Definitely a curious device. Did you also reverse engineer/verify the schematic? Can't say I'm interested in a replica board, but would be interesting to take a look at how various floppy functions are realized in TTL.
@@DavideBarlotti yes.i have one of these. At this moment the hobby is in standby mode, but in a (long?) next time i will ask you for this prog. In wos none soft for him.
@@juliormedina nice to know you have one. Don’t worry I have planning to share on my FIZ page all materials. Meanwhile if you have some photos of the board pcb please send to me via email we like spot any difference.
Diavolo di uno Speccy ! mai vista questa interfaccia ! un poco macchinosa da usare ma almeno non usa dei chip dedicati per controllare il FD.... inoltre e' del 1983 ! appena un anno dopo il lancio dello ZX ! Era commerciaizzata in UK ???
❤ Отличная работа! Далеко ему до TR- DOS, но наличие рабочего интерфейса впечатляет! Спасибо за видео!)))

Mario Prato has done the scheme. He has planning to do pcb and replica.. let’s see how is going and if the scheme done working. Stay tuned
Is ROM online somewhere? Any other information about FIZ Interface?
I dumped the rom and user manual here: speccy4ever.speccy.org/_FZ.htm
FIZ tape backup???....amazing!
Hi Julio, Do you have a fiz interface? I can share

From magazine reviews in uk, I don’t think was sold officially in other countries.
Just got information someone get one in Dutch, so probably not only in UK
