@@chinanuokoli12 I have been rediscovering the great artist (and person) that she is the past couple of days. She did vocal work for him in that concert, but Peter Gabriel gave her a lot of space so she really shines. She is amazing in 'Don't Give Up'. I just get goosebumps every time.
@@chinanuokoli12 She made backing vocals for all Peter´s show, and co sang with him a couple of pieces, specially "Don´t give Up" , until then known just with the studio version with Kate Bush and some performance in Chile with Sinead O´Connor. Paula simply "stole" the theme with her amazing voice and expressivity, getting spontaneus applauses from the public wherever and always she sang this song and all their lines in others.
Paula was, in my opinion the strongest female vocalist PG has ever toured with. That show in ‘93 is one of my all time favorite live performances. Sinead was incredible, but artistically just not the right match for the secret world tour & the fact that Paula had replaced her, performing their first show within just DAYS, is such an incredible testament to her abilities as an artist. 💕
God, what a powerful performance! She's amazing. I understand she has an extensive education in music. Her jazz stuff is fabulous, too. She's such a strong songwriter and performer. I'm a fan.
I saw Paula in concert in my very own city Guadalajara Mexico, 17th Feb 2000, she did an amazing performance on stage, she did learn expression from PG, the band she was was tight and young, unforgettable show!

Still amazed how much emotion/power you put into your voice. It almost dosent matter what the words are. I can imagine a rythmic yodle/phonation.
