Used to love going to Bribie Island when I lived in Brisbane many many years ago. It certainly is busier

I am very fortunate to call Bribie home. I was surprised that you came at the weekend rather than mid week when it is so much quieter on the beach but i guess Jayda wouldnt want to miss out. Weekends on the beach are insanely busy now which spoils it a bit, but it still a slice of paradise.

Bribie was our local when I lived at Beachmere eons ago, used get the permit
at a caravan pk, $20 I think, now it seems you have to get a permit to get a
permit. The beach was so quiet there were naked people everywhere.
You could drive up the beach to the Caloundra boundary, chuck a line anywhere
and you'd get whiting, Go inland halfway up and there was a wartime hospital,
and several gun emplacements on the beach.
Our favourite beach was where the blacktop ended, and you head off to drive
up the beach, it even had a shower and a dunny!

A child will get run over with cars driving at that speed on a beach! Is that normal on the east coast ? Frk that! How could you relax!

Love Bribie island, use to live a deception bay, would go to bribie and buy fish and chips up at the surf beach, eat them at the beach, go for a walk then drive back. Couldn’t do the sand driving with my vehicle, but hey what about the big wash out up Caloundra end, been watching that get bigger from Golden beach, gets any bigger there’ll be surf in Pumicestone passage. Jacks going to be a earthmoving bloke, he loves his trucks eh!

The cost required for beach access is absurd. All thanks to the gov. As you said Bribie used to be the bomb.
