The reason why so many Russian-speaking fans here is because for several years the Soviet Union was showing Indian films in the Soviet-allied part of the world to promote communication and cooperation between India and those countries. The Indian and Soviet studios also made movies together. It was a part of policy to build a firm bloc of socialist countries.
