I take pitches an inch off the plate consistently sometimes. Really just depends on how I'm playing that day but then again I only started playing my first MLB 4 months ago and play on veteran
While I mostly agree I've evolved on taking close pitches. Now that I have gotten good, I take close pitches all the time, especially on 0 and 1 strike counts. I'll take a borderline pitch if it's in a location I don't want.
I am glad I ran across this. I’ll be playing guys and getting them all off balance swinging at sliders and curves out of the zone. Then all of a sudden they’re watching an 0-2 FB on the black to go 1-2. Then watching a slider on the black 2-2 then squaring up a low sinker for a HR. It’s always right after a long pause where they don’t pinch hit or warm anyone in the bullpen. This explains a lot
And its always later in the game and they just figured out your basic pitching sequencing and the few variations you might throw in... People who don't know the game, don't understand pitching confidence and stamina. And dont study the pitch sequencing (the long pause...) during the game. Y'all are going to see cheaters everywhere

I played against someone that was OBVIOUSLY cheating, and I beat them 14-13 in 9 innings. Reported them the entire game. After the game SDS didn’t count the game toward my record and the game never existed lmao. Ridiculous

I live in Asia I have no region lock so I play guys around the world, and there are a shit load of cheaters, another way of telling is it effects your running and throwing and the ball always lands in about the same area between outfielder and infield or just HR, example you have duran best outfielder for now, seems to be just slightly late and way off on throwing and reaction like cement shoes

Yep I was playing online exhibition match up 7-0 then all of sudden dude scored 10 runs in one inning on me they would hit everything and even threw pitches outside the zone too .

And laying off pitches on the edge of the strike zone like its a 20 ft ball off the plate!!!!!! it's happening once a day now. I'm also getting freezes when my pitches are about to cross the front of the plate. And every time it happens, the player makes contact for an out or foul. I regularly play on AS TO LEGEND. Once I win about 4 to 5 games in DD. BANG HERE COMES THE BS!!! The more I win the more I'm dealing with this in DD. This is my first year I honestly am going for being a top DD player, but once I get around 600 to 700 rank in DD I begin to get these guys who seem to be running a hitting device or something that is allowing them to make contact on pitches under their cleats or in their ribs consistently!!!!🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🔥🔥🔥

I totally get just playing to have fun and relax but due to SBMM now being in sports game just as bad as it is in FPS games (COD), the fun relaxed factor has totally gone out tje window for guys like me. I would reel off 50 straight wins years ago without a sweat. I would have a blast online, but in the last three years, I have noticed a significant change in the level of competition online. It's not like I'm worse, but you can tell that SBMM is now in sports games and also EOMM, which started in COD. With all these live service platforms now, they have the opportunity to manipulate your gaming experience on the fly. No longer can I just play relaxed. No longer can I just get on and BS Plat all day. I used to never play with the top 10 teams online. I never pitched with the #1 or 2 starter until I played about 10 to 15 games online. I would treat my first 15 games online like a warmup. I would play with the bottom 15 squads and have a blast, all while racking up a whole load of ranking points to stay on top of the leader boards in pVp. That was my way of staying atop of the leader boards by using the worst teams and beating all the bums who ran with the top 5 teams. It was great, up until 2021-22. That's when I noticed SBMM ruining my relaxation. I no longer can play with the Pirates or Oakland As without dealing with some in-game BS!! Every game I get put into is on HOF/LEGEND. I never pick what level to play on, and I always leave it on ANY on purpose to see how SBMM will always place me into HOF/LEGEND. I do not play The Show for weeks, and when I do play, it's always HOF/LEGEND. Go experiment with the vs settings in pVp and im telling you you will notice the manipulative game influencing BS!! Play on every level from rookie to legend and each mode just has some BS put into it that completely removes any level of skill and fun. So much is being spent to allow the casual gamer to have a more competitive chance at competing vs the above average players. They know that the casual gamers tend to spend a few more dollars on the games in store items so they give them a better experience. Watching my 17 yr old son play The Show is night and day compared to me. He has only been playing for two yrs or so and the level of competition and try hards don't come close to what I get. Even when I play on Veteran like he does, it's night and day. So yeah IMO the live service platform combined with SBMM and EOMM is killing competitive pVp online gaming now just like it has killed COD.

I read somewhere that shaking your pitch aim randomly before setting the location and starting your pitch can confuse the program. I played a guy who hit 3 bombs in the first inning so I started doing that and he didn't score again that game. 🤷♂️
The program only works from the receiving side. You can see it tracking the pitch. Your aiming is not even data that's sent to the server. Only your actual location and input, and the program doesn't even access that information. It tracks thep pitch on screen in real time
The most likely cheater I've come across in The Show was a guy using a right handed pitcher but the ball would release from the left side of his body, you could get around this tho just watching for the ball spawn in on the left and track from there. What really got me tho was he was able to like lock my characters or something so I couldn't field anything.
Ik a guy named thatguynijae and he 1000% cheats. He has been in other TH-camrs games and is definitely cheating. Last time I played him he hit perfect perfects on like every swing
you can tell when your playing a cheater when they tie it up with a perfect home run in their next AB after you keep taking the lead and when you run into players with records like 40-3 50-6 60-8 cause they make new accounts after they get caught up cheating
This isn’t the cheat I’ve seen ! The hitting cheat bounces your pci up and down 1000 times a sec and left to right 1000 times a sec . Meaning you time up the hit and it’s a nuke every swing
Equally not surprising the way some of these games randomly turn into HR derbies when guys hit 3 or 4 in a row after K’ing like 6 times In the first few innings…
MLB the card show can’t do nothing about it. They don’t even discourage the online rated guys who somehow bat 056 and have a 80 and 1 record. And bed cpu in the ratings a guy will have 40 wins after the game has been released for 2 hours It’s a shame and nobody gets banned Except Pete
People are lame to cheat on video games but that being said it goes on for every game that you play PvP online. It's an ego trip for these guys. I remember I played Tap Sports Baseball for 3 or 4 years for the phone and tablet, cheating is rampant on that game and Glu who used to own it, did nothing really to stop it. It was almost like they needed a certain amount of cheats to force legit players to spend more money on getting better to attempt to compete with the cheats/hackers. Year after year as cheating was getting worse and worse, prices were going up, in game currency wasn't buying you much anymore and odds on getting decent or better players were decreasing while they were offering more and more offers for real money. Just for the record I'm not saying that's what SDS is doing, I think they do a fairly good job at balancing everything. Cheats and hackers will always find a way to make things miserable for legit players to build their ego up.

I read that once you place your pitch if you move your joystick while pitching it wont pick it up. Sure enough next cheater i tried it against it worked and they couldn’t hit shit. Why cheat in video games, especially The Show? The only reason games exist is to (if they develop the game right) enjoy them for what they are. And with the Show in particular. You have to like baseball to buy the Show. But if you get the game and cheat...I have to ask...do you actually like baseball? Like, what would you be doing here? Why bother? Just go do something else with your life.

Also, what is PCI? I play with PS5. Never really focused with the details of this game. I've played this game series from 2019 on. I suck at hitting, but mastered the pitching, to a point where I can strine out 20+ hitters, any difficulty level

This is going to cause so many people to 'see' cheaters while they just don't understand game mechanics like pitching confidence and strategy: the guy just figured out your weak repetitive pitch sequencing and the low pitching confidence turns it into a homerun fest
I haven't seen this before physically, but I know for a fact people cheat in this game, its way too obvious. No way that some random people are better than professional players or top tier players. Also, I've watched elite content creators who face cheaters but mostly when it comes to pitching, not hitting necessarily. I find it comical when people cheat in this type of game. It's definitely one of the hardest online competitive games in my opinion because it contains the most variance and randomness, yet people still cheat. Sad.
I’m not shocked at all and called it when I seen the Show will be on CPU and Xbox. Not saying it didn’t happen at all before but cpu culture is to test the limits.

How do you know if you’re facing a cheater? I’ve played a couple guys I can’t tell if they’re just really good or cheating. Almost every hit was a perfect or good timing regardless of the pitch or location
you ca ln tell by the P5 and barting .avg is the first tip off then when playing them you know how good you are based on your pitching yet they perfect perfect and don’t swing on corner pitches just blocked them and quit before they ruin your ERA it’s obvious then to me.
I don't understand any of this, set up what? You can set up stuff? What stuf?f you can set up ypur own striking zone? How? And what are these graphics? What camera point of views you are using? Also what is on point thing when pitching? That's an option you can choose? I have always used the pulse thing, is tbe pulse thing called cheating? Which one is easier option to use? That pin point or pulse thing. Also, on defense, how do you get those graphics with those players, what options you gotta use? I never change much. Weird meter and color thing.

after watching littleman play i started doing the middle thing with pinpoint, it makes it easier to hit the correct spot for me. i'm not good at aiming with controllers so i like the shorter stick movement

you can tell when your playing a cheater when they tie it up with a perfect home run in their next AB after you keep taking the lead and when you run into players with records like 40-3 50-6 60-8 cause they make new accounts after they get caught up cheating
This isn’t the cheat I’ve seen ! The hitting cheat bounces your pci up and down 1000 times a sec and left to right 1000 times a sec . Meaning you time up the hit and it’s a nuke every swing
Equally not surprising the way some of these games randomly turn into HR derbies when guys hit 3 or 4 in a row after K’ing like 6 times In the first few innings…

People are lame to cheat on video games but that being said it goes on for every game that you play PvP online. It's an ego trip for these guys. I remember I played Tap Sports Baseball for 3 or 4 years for the phone and tablet, cheating is rampant on that game and Glu who used to own it, did nothing really to stop it. It was almost like they needed a certain amount of cheats to force legit players to spend more money on getting better to attempt to compete with the cheats/hackers. Year after year as cheating was getting worse and worse, prices were going up, in game currency wasn't buying you much anymore and odds on getting decent or better players were decreasing while they were offering more and more offers for real money. Just for the record I'm not saying that's what SDS is doing, I think they do a fairly good job at balancing everything. Cheats and hackers will always find a way to make things miserable for legit players to build their ego up.

I just came across this video after being on reddit and confirming people are hacking. I have ran into so many pc players that just hit home run after home run. I read that once you place your pitch if you move your joystick while pitching it wont pick it up. Sure enough next cheater i tried it against it worked and they couldn’t hit shit. How sad of a person do you have to be to cheat lol

Also, what is PCI? I play with PS5. Never really focused with the details of this game. I've played this game series from 2019 on. I suck at hitting, but mastered the pitching, to a point where I can strine out 20+ hitters, any difficulty level
Feel like the captain boost on your bench is cheating because gaining an extra hitter that’s more powerful than the captain and hope SDS gets that glitch fixed

I haven't seen this before physically, but I know for a fact people cheat in this game, its way too obvious. No way that some random people are better than professional players or top tier players. Also, I've watched elite content creators who face cheaters but mostly when it comes to pitching, not hitting necessarily. I find it comical when people cheat in this type of game. It's definitely one of the hardest online competitive games in my opinion because it contains the most variance and randomness, yet people still cheat. Sad.

How do you know if you’re facing a cheater? I’ve played a couple guys I can’t tell if they’re just really good or cheating. Almost every hit was a perfect or good timing regardless of the pitch or location
you ca ln tell by the P5 and barting .avg is the first tip off then when playing them you know how good you are based on your pitching yet they perfect perfect and don’t swing on corner pitches just blocked them and quit before they ruin your ERA it’s obvious then to me.
Well, there are a few that cheat that stream, and they make more than what they spent on it.

I don't understand any of this, set up what? You can set up stuff? What stuf?f you can set up ypur own striking zone? How? And what are these graphics? What camera point of views you are using? Also what is on point thing when pitching? That's an option you can choose? I have always used the pulse thing, is tbe pulse thing called cheating? Which one is easier option to use? That pin point or pulse thing.
