Peace! My hair tends to dry out quickly so would you recommend spraying water on my curls first and then add the curling gel? I'm considering buying this gel because I've been wanting to try finger coiling for years but haven't found a gel that I trust.
If your hair dries quickly I would recommend water for sure but also you may need to use a cream before applying the gel! My hair was already moisturized with “As I Am Double Buttercream” prior to styling since they were in Bantu knots before! This will help four hair retain moisture and your hair won’t feel crunchy after!

I think it’s more around 4a-b, but don’t let this change your mind about finger coiling your hair! You can still do finger coils with tighter curls, you’ll just have to make your coils smaller than I did for the best results
