Fly Tying Tutorial: Carey Special

A classic wet fly with varying origin stories, this is an anything-that-swims patern for lakes and rivers. It might represent a few different food sources, but regardless of what a trout or steelhead thinks it looks like, this pattern moves fish. It uses but a few materials, comes together quicly, and can be modified in a myriad of ways.

Great tie. I fish still water with this fly. The rainbows seem to really like it. Ez tie you can do a few in no time and the material is cheap. Thanks for sharing.
