That's why I love the 16bit generation! They games aged extremely well! The 32/64 bit generation that came after didn't!!! N64 was too blurry, and the PS1 was too pixelated! But the 16 bit well just look at it!!!!
It was pretty easy (believe it or not, some reviewers called it too easy at the time and it was the only flaw of the game thay could find). I also loved this game as a kid. Played the shit out of it on Sega Mega Drive.
@@kosmosyche Not to mention, the SEGA CD version is *way* more forgiving with the respawns after you die, from what I've noticed (like in that Mad Doctor level - it actually puts you *ahead!* Never happened in the GENESIS version :P) Mike is a noob! LOL ;D

Sega's version is the same as the SNES one. Easy af. Even some of the reviewers at the time found it too easy for their liking. I don't know why Mike is randomly so bad with some games.

I had this for SNES. I loved it. It was hard as hell, but that of course made beating it all the more sweeter. The game is pretty much the same, but Mickey didn't talk as much, and the music in certain level's are different/remixed. Cool to see a different port.
So frustrating to watch that section right before the Mad Doc boss fight, where you have to mix the potion to blow up the door - Mike kept losing his health and wasting marbles because instead of jumping on the last "syringe" (to the right), and the "heat" button, FROM THE RIGHT SIDE, he kept jumping up all the way back from the LEFT SIDE and having to go through the whole top shitshow with the bats again, which was so *DUMB!...* I'm not trying to act smart and like a "know-it-all", but FFS when I played this *for the very first time in my LIFE* I figured it out on like my first try!... Jeezuz, MIke ;D Would've saved you SO much pain, and marbles, and health LOL.
This game came out for all kinds of consoles from Genesis & Super Nintendo to Sega CD to, I believe, the Playstation. If anyone's interested in procuring themselves a copy, that is. Apart from the sounds and music, which are obviously where the CD based consoles really shine, there really doesn't seem to be very much difference at all between any of them, from Genesis to PSX, they all look great so game on. Edit: On PSX it was renamed to Mickeys Wild Adventure.
I was literally just thinking about requesting this game on SNES for a James & Mike Mondays but this is better lol. I had this as a little kid & although it was hard, I don't remember it being this hard
I used to play this one on the SNES, I remember it as a very hard game, way too hard for a mickey mouse game (mainly for the lack of continues) kind of the same issue with TMNT for NES: you expect it to be for kids, but it's not. However, I used to love the potion part at the end of the second stage back in the days, it was extremely satisfying to watch those potions changing color. There were easier Mickey Mouse games for SNES but, still, very good. I strongly advise Mike to play "The magical Quest", it has that old Disney vibe.
oh the SNES version lacks content, including the continues from the Mega Drive version, levels, music and has loading times for reasons only the devs could explain XD
Another shining example of the potential of the Mega CD/Sega CD. They needed more of this and less of the 'hey look we can do video's with this add-on!' which sacrificed good gameplay. I get so frustrated thinking how silly they were with marketing, dropping support for this so early, making the 32X as well only to drop it, then wonder why no one bought the Saturn! They really should have given the Mega CD more love.

It's certainly not. It's a moderately easy game.
