    It breaks my heart to think that if my wife and daughters (any women I know) were born in Iran they would have their potential stunted like this. They are required to be a shell of themselves in order to accomodate insecure and ignorant men who are in charge. It's a tragedy. Sadly, large changes like those that are needed in Iran almost never come through peaceful means. There sadly will need to be martyrs in order for things to change. The religious right in the United States would love to enact arcane laws that move us backwards here too. We must resist any authoritarian, religiously led attempts at power grabs. For some reason the religions always end up trying to control people's morals and, strangely, the flow of money through the system.
    I loved the symbolism at the end of the video.

    A co-worker (26) in pharmacy sales- Los Angeles was born in Iran. Her parents would not let her date any Iranian born (or not born) males! Seen the Persian male behavior, met 3-4 in CA.

    • @ciaronsmith4995
      @ciaronsmith4995 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Persian community in LA is unbelievably successful. Those guys all live in Beverly Hills. They usually date each other because they consider themselves....better. So that's a huge exception. Not common. As common as a European not allowing their daughter to date another European because of WW2.

    • @swimlaps1
      @swimlaps1 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. She & her parents are from Iran and do not like the controlling or demeaning behavior of some towards women, no matter success. It's in the culture/Islam.

      Total nonsense. Very odd behavior that is absolutely not in the culture. Iranians are the least religious people in the world right now. Persians in LA are notorious for that actually. Even in Iran - the Iranian government is not the Iranian people. Don't spread nonsense because you met 1 weirdo! Thanks! Most Persians tell their kids to marry Persian. I grew up next to Persians in Los Angeles. I actually know. You don't.@@swimlaps1

    Here is my theory on this story: the woman turned the two men in the car insane by being a mute, not uttering a word. So the men charged at each other and the woman drove off and should have been taken by police right away, possibly then taken to a mental institution for treatment. 😂😂😂 Is this how Iranians plan to liberate their women, with movies like this ? I am seriously curious.

    • @Valentina-qb4vq

      This movie is not about religion, it’s about their rules. Why do they have the rules, because of religion ? No, because of their culture that allowed that to happen. Religion is just an excuse. Many countries with Muslim populations in the world, and they don’t have these rules, only Iran does. The woman drives without a license, with someone else’s car, without permission, this is illegal in any country. It was so frustrating seeing this woman being a mute the entire movie, not making a sound. Iranians are extremely weird, trying to show the Iranian woman as submissive in that manner. Women in Iran are not mute, I am pretty sure of that. Their religious police is even made up by women. I am seriously fed up with all this crying for the women of Iran everywhere and claiming that this is not Iranian culture. It’s so boring at this point, not just illogical.
