I own a 2nd Gen Ford Fiesta TDCI 1.4 SXI (2008 Model - 2009 Reg ) , still driving it with a 185000 KMS ODO. One of the best n heartiest machine 🥰. Either on B2B traffic or on express highways one word, it is the driver's car. Look wise it is Cute and even after a decade of design it does not look old.Performance part it is unbeatable with 1596 CC engine and 101BHP, Ford had a good after sale servicing center. There is a mis-perception that it is costly to maintain. Not at all. Pros: Look, Power, Built, space, Highway FE, Hydraulic Power steering, dual Airbags and ABS Cons: Wheel size should have been 15''. City FE I am enjoying this power house in every drive. Sails in the ghat section like cheetah and on the highway it is unbeatable. With a lighter foot and minimum Ac usage on the highways I got an excellent FE of 22 kmpl. Even after 1.85 lakh kms odo never touched an engine for repair. That's the beauty of TDCI n fiesta 💚💚

Especially in the twisty roads like hill station it just comes to life and the car is soo happy to go around a corner with soo much confidence and every time I drive it it puts a smile on my face. Last ah Indiaல Ford வித்த Aspire 1.5 TDCi in 100 bhp, 215 Nm tune was a pocket size dynamite on wheels even though Ford slightly compromised on it's build and steering (the ecosport, second gen figo, aspire and freestyle had ePAS) The small intercooler turbo setup in the 1.5 TDCi was one hell of an engine.. That engine in this Fiesta S would have been dream car for enthusiasts.. The Diesel Aspire could keep up with cars a segment or two above it like Jetta on highways.. Ford la last ah vandha Figo titanium diesel had almost everything an enthusiast craves for at a steal price of 8 lacs on road.. Indians did dis-service to one of the best package any manufacturer could offer in any segment.. The Fiat Punto was also a fantastic handler but even the 90 hp engine in that was underpowered for the capability of that chassis.. The Abarth was rocket but it had a worst drinking habit.. The Figo S was a surreal package at that time.. Now, there's nothing in the market like those phenomenal cars.. With the future moving towards electric, we'll never have such thorough bread enthusiastic cars anymore😢😢

Wonderful review This is indeed an iconic masterpiece. I am able to connect with your emotions, as I too have been driving Fords from the Classic to Aspire and the Ecosport now. The beauty is that once you sit in the driver's seat, there is this invisible bond with the Fiesta. It becomes an extension of your self. It drives and handles exactly as you want it to. The HPAS steering and suspension setup is magic. The faster you go, the more grounded it is! Even the Aspire and Ecosport, though great fun to drive cars, do not connect like the Classic Fiesta. As famously quoted when it was launched, it's the common man's BMW. Fantastic review as always!!

We own 2013 1.6 Petrol Fiesta Classic Titanium, it has run 95k km sadly we are gradually reducing usage due to suspension issues. After test driving 20+ cars in 2023 no car has matched the fun to drive and handling of Fiesta.😊😊

I have the fiesta 1.6S in paprika red colour 2008 model in bone stock condition and my fiesta is the less driven in India… one thing people don’t know about this car is, the chassis is developed by Mazda and the engine is retuned by Yamaha… that’s the reason it’s a gem of a car…

While doing college in chennai once going back to native (Trichy ) in bus I saw test drive vehicles of ford fiesta overtaking parallel to our bus I Dont know how I enjoyed just a goose bump movement there …. Had a ford 1.4 diesel 2010 top variant model. own a 5g facelift honda city zx 2023 now, yet missing the joy of ford handling and its agile nature in the corner, steering was what it stood out, we dont get it in todays gen cars, once a ford guy always a ford guy. waiting for ford come back. Those shifting gears to 1st on every speed break was a pure joy in ford diesel.
Learned to drive in a 2008 Fiesta 1.5 Petrol. It was such a great car to drive. Bought a Baleno after that but really miss that driving experience in Fiesta. It was a brilliant car to drive

While doing college in chennai once going back to native (Trichy ) in bus I saw test drive vehicles of ford fiesta overtaking parallel to our bus I Dont know how I enjoyed just a goose bump movement there …. After a long time I got ecosport there is no replacement I just love ford … I pray they should come back ❤

Gives me nostalgic feel of our old icon 1.3 rocam. It used to be a gem of car. It has aged really well without any engine work for almost 2 lakh kms since 2007.

I completely agree yours phrase “even the new cars can’t match it’s engineering”, fun to drive, driver’s Car, what a pick up, i bought 1.6 SXI on 2008 driven around 1.4L. Still I’m using it, Also I want to say that the handling and performance of the car is absolutely mind blowing. Even I have cancelled XUV 700 AX L because the XUV can’t match fiesta 1.6duratec .

I'm a proud owner of a beautiful ford fiesta 1.6 SXI, been driving it for 15 years, I have no idea of going for another car, it will always be with me, it is in excellent condition, but wish that Ford comes back to India.

Small correction brother. Idle rev limited to 5800 rpm. While driving redlines till 6800rpm. Pulls to 95kmph in 2nd gear. Great content, keep it up. By fellow owner of 1.6S.

Best car in this segment till now. It moves on the road like a lizard on a wall. Great control and SEFI engine (petrol version).
I can feel you bro my dad had a fiesta from 2009 to 2020 clocked 2.5L kms but unfortunately due to certain issue he changed to Honda amaze which he regret because the seating position and ride comfort and best of it HANDALING such a amazing vehicle. which to own it again

Had a ford 1.4 diesel 2010 top variant model. own a 5g facelift honda city zx 2023 now, yet missing the joy of ford handling and its agile nature in the corner, steering was what it stood out, we dont get it in todays gen cars, once a ford guy always a ford guy. waiting for ford come back. Those shifting gears to 1st on every speed break was a pure joy in ford diesel.
Learned to drive in a 2008 Fiesta 1.5 Petrol. It was such a great car to drive. Bought a Baleno after that but really miss that driving experience in Fiesta. It was a brilliant car to drive
