With all the features on Mikrotik routers have you'd think they would have a simple OPVN upload option. I mean all my cheap routers have it. This is just too much settings to just connect to a vpn.
I followed exactly the same. Uploaded the certificates and used the same settings, etc. Unfortunately it stucks with "connecting". If I try it via openvpn windows client, it works. What else to check? It matters if my CA cert is in crt format?
Hi, boss if possible kindly share with me how to export the ca.crt.pem, vpn-client1 and vpn-client1.key file to upload my Mikrotik router. I didn't find the export certificate from the Open VPN server. please guide me.
hellooooooooooooo.. sorry, can you tell me why, when i try to import the certificate, it never be uploaded. I mean, i can choose it, but i make click import, and never goes uploaded.
@@edw412do nothing, and i really dont know why? i mean, just there is the files: ca.crt, client.key, client.crt and ta.key, and qhen i click import nothing be uploaded.
Might be the CA and/or the server certificate do not match. T flag set because you make it Trusted. And, I don't think ovpn file can be use on mikrotik, it's only works on clients (Windows or Smartphone).

You should upload certificate in order.. Try upload the key first and then the certificate pair.

They're not intended to be shared. You'll need to get it from your OpenVPN server/provider.

The OpenVPN-Server must use TCP?
As far as I know openvpn allow to use udp
@@edw412do But the mikrotik doesn't support openvpn client + udp. I can't get it to work...
Oh ya, I forgot. But why you need to use udp. Mine stable enough using tcp
@@edw412do The VPN-Server I'm using is based on udp. I need to change that then... Thanks for your quick replies :)
Muito bom!
