The American President: Expanding Power

  • Though the powers of the presidency have expanded with the growth of the nation, the process has been anything but smooth. These four presidents are benchmarks in the development of executive power (Andrew Jackson, Grover Cleveland, Theodore Roosevelt, Richard Nixon). Three stretched the office to its constitutional limits; the fourth overstepped those limits and brought on a new era of presidential weakness.
“The American President” is a series that aired on PBS in 2000 profiling 41 U.S. chief executives, using exclusive interviews with Presidents Clinton, Bush, Ford, and Carter. Well known figures lend their voice to presidents of the past who lived before sound recordings, including: Colin Powell, Bob Dole, Walter Cronkite, Ben Bradlee, John Glenn, James Carville, Andrew Young, and the Rev. Billy Graham. Narrated by Hugh Sidey.

Yes and it mostly worked, but he was too impetuous for me. While no President can be expert in all matters, but, for example among others, his silly Amazon trip that broke his health and later killed him.
Imagine today a president who'd killed, for sport, as many animals as did he?!!. Yes, it's 115 years later, but still. His renovations of the WH were done in a rush and without adequate funds leading desperate contractors to irreparably weaken the basic structure of the WH that in 1948 nearly collapsed.. I think some successful, especially in those days felt that by commanding something be done, it would be or else. However, such personal power does not change the laws of science.

Teddy Roosevelt needed a lady who would prop him up in his self belief he was remarkably intelligent.
She made him feel as if he were the top man on the scene constantly.
She meekly agreed to play the charade and to benefit off of Ted's dad's money..
A fair tradeoff for that period of time.

      Okay ..YOU THE PEOPLE.. 🇺🇸❤💃‼
IN CELEBRATION of CONSTITUTION DAY and CITIZENSHIP DAY ... here is my message for today..
NO STATE (ELECTION DIVISION) SHALL MAKE OR ENFORCE ANY LAW WHICH SHALL ABRIDGE THE PRIVILEGES... OF CITIZENS.
We have no reason to REDGISTER to VOTE.
The IRS has a list of official addresses for everyone.
The PERSON IN CHARGE of every ELECTION in every STATE in the last 50 + years has been a DEMOCRAT or a REPUBLICAN. Never a INDEPENDENT or GREEN party or LIBRARIAN FYI...
(COMPETITION is encouraged in every aspect of our country...but here in our law/government division 🤣🤣🤣🙈👍 we have been taken over by the DUOPOLY. WE DON'T have a DEMOCRACY at the moment, because of the 2 BIG PARTIES are blocking YOU, THE PEOPLE and YOUR CHOICE..
It's time to STOP this MANIPULATION of OUR COUNTRY...LOCK THEM UP ‼‼‼)
THE LIST REDGISTER OF VOTERS ..WAS AND IS BEING MANIPULATED WITH FRAUDULENT NAMES are on them each STATE has it own list. And dont get me started on what type of SOFTWARE is hidden in the ELECTION VOTING MACHINES 🤣🤣🤣🙈👍
I begged my GOVERNOR and SECRETARY of STATE to STOP the vote because it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL to FORCE US CITIZENS to REDGISTER.. to have OUR VOTE COUNTED...
They are NOW TREASONOUS ‼‼‼.. THEY HAVE THE POWER TO 'NOT ENFORCE' THE BAD LAW THAT WAS CREATED YEARS AGO..
THEY ARE CHOOSING "TO INFRINGE" ON YOURS AND MINE, RIGHTS.
AS LISTED IN THE 14TH AMENDMENT..
