I will show you how you build your website and launch your blog for FREE. And don't worry, you don't need to know anything about coding to build a blog.
I started my blog about 8 years ago, and this decision changed my life and led to me starting this TH-cam channel you are watching now.
By the end of the first year of blogging, I was able to quit my day job. I am now grateful for every day I can spend a lot more time with my toddler and be there for her whenever she needs me, thanks to the flexibility of my online business which all started as a blog.
In this tutorial I'll show you how you can start your own blog and online business- and it is Free for Everyone!
You will get EVERYTHING you need UNDER ONE ROOF and for FREE including web hosting, a customizable podia.com subdomain. Something like I have here - see anastasiablogger.podia.com
And the best part is that you'll be able to build your blog on the same platform where you can also sell products, as well as collect emails from your readers.
I'm not going only to show you how to set this up, but I also will show some customizations that could fit your needs. Ok, so let's get into the tutorial.
To start, you can click on the first link in the description below and you'll see this page that shows you how your blog can look like when you build it, so we'll just click on Get Your Free Account and then just submit your name, email and the password you want to set.
I'll skip this step for privacy.
And once you get inside your Podia account, the first thing you should do is verify your email address, just go to your inbox and find the email from Podia to verify your newly created account.
Then you will see this Blog tab in the top menu, if I click on it, we can check out my blog built on Podia. You see, this is just an example of how your blog can also look like, you can customize the colors to match your brand like you see on my blog.
This blogging functionality has just recently been launched on Podia, so I've been trying and testing it to make this detailed tutorial for you guys.
And just to show you how this Blogging functionality is integrated with everything else on Podia, if you click on Website tab right next to the Blog, you will see my entire website homepage rebuilt on Podia. I have here all the same sections rebuilt as on my actual live website.
I have here some sections for my free Pinterest masterclass, for my products and some of my existing content.
Now, getting back to the blog, if we click on one of the Read post buttons, we can see how a blog post might look like… lots of colors, subheadings have great fonts, a button, an embedded video and an Instagram post and even a Signup button at the bottom of the post.
This is to show you many different ways to customize your blogging pages on Podia.
Now let me show you how it is easy to build these blog pages on the backend of Podia. Go back to the dashboard, click on Blog and this time click on Blog posts.

Anastasia, how did your blogs behave during this March Google Core Update? What do you think about the future of blogging ?
My sites were not affected by these updates so far, but no one has guarantees that they don't get a penalty in the future. I am, as usual focusing on pinterest as it keeps sending me about half of the traffic. I think the only future for blogging is diversifying traffic sources as much as possible. As for Google SEO, I think human written or at least edited by human writer content made for people to read, will always be rewarded

Hi! If you are planning to monetize a blog mostly with display ads, Podia's platform currently doesn't allow that, so you might want to start a Wordpress blog. But if your main goal is to sell your own products, like digital products, online courses, coaching services, as well as using affiliate links in your content, then Podia blogging platform is a great option because you will be able to start that blog for free and keep everything under one roof, including your products and email marketing.
@AnastasiaBlogger thank you so much Anastasia. Is it easy to change a blog from one platform to another? I don't know at this moment what are display ads. I was thinking of using Hostinger but if it is possible to move my blog later if I need, I will be willing to try Podia.

Thank you for using my affiliate link! It's www.hostinger.com/anastasia I don't think it will be an easy switch between Podia and Hostinger because on Hostinger you'll be using a Wordpress blog. Usually it's easy to switch when blogs are both on Wordpress and just using different hosting providers. But when it's 2 different content management systems like Podia vs Wordpress, the switch is not that simple. If you are not planning to sell your own products and just thinking about monetization with ads (it's like Google Adsense, Mediavine and others), then you can go with Hostinger and that implies using wordpress as your content management system.

After reading more about display ads, I think my best option will be Hostinger. It has more flexibility and that may help in the long range. Additionally, WordPress is a very well-known platform for blogs and Hostinger looks "manageable."

What about ads is it intergrated in podia?
Do you mean running display ads? You probably could do that but the thing is, on a low traffic volume display ads pay so little that they are not even worth it. You will be better off with affiliate links and selling some products through your blog when your traffic is below 10,000/mo pageviews.

Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to add display ads on Podia. You will do much better monetizing your content via products, coaching, etc. versus just generic display ads, especially when you are a beginner and your traffic volume is below 10k/mo pageviews. So that hasn't been a priority for Podia yet to make it possible to add Adsense.
Am I allowed to place amazon affiliate products in my blog post? And do I have to pay a 10% for it?
You can add affiliate links including Amazon. And no, 10% is paid only if you sell any of your own products or services

Anna podia is a paid one
You can use Podia's free plan for the blogging features for as long as you need it and only when you make any sale of a paid product, on that free plan, Podia has a 10% commission only when you make a sale. You can continue running a blog for free but if your sales volume grows over time, it will make sense to start using their $59/mo plan to avoid any commissions on your product sales.

I have seen your videos for a quite long time. However, in my career, I've faced challenges like company sold out or project gone. My home environment is totally job minded. They don't have patience to grow business as they want salary immediately. It's difficult to keep a calm mind here. Bcz growing business needs time and can't earn immediately. Do you know anything to earn immediately without interview or qualification test?
I don't know where you live, what your skills are etc., so it is difficult to give you a specific recommendation. But I think the best way to start a business for most people is to do it as a side hustle working on it only in your free time FIRST, while working for a salary. And as your business grows, you will see the right moment to quit is when you have saved at least 6 months of your full-time income and your side hustle makes at least as much as your job.

I usually write articles on AI, Networks, and Cybersecurity. However, I lost my project in Feb 2024 as the company kept a dedicated local staff for our work. Since then I've been looking for new involvement in different publications. The freelance marketplace is very tough now to bid for projects. Before starting freelance work, I was employed in full-time jobs in two different European MNCs. But my job profile was different then and it was a systems engineer for telecom/network projects.
