@@trevorkreipel6256 couldn’t agree more. There were a few solid songs on Unconditional but for the most part, everything just started sounding corny and way overproduced. Sleepwalking, The Hollow, and Challenger are as good as it gets with MMF
This one is a banger, the whole album is one the best of the genre of the whole time You need to react to No Ordinary Love, Stay The Course, Vices, and This Light I Hold (which has a collab there 🤘) Their whole dyscography is pure magnificent, even the last 2 before Remade In Misery, are more in the Alternative Rock/Hard Rock side, and they did it great 🤘
Great reaction! You should check these out, I really think you'll enjoy them, and they will be a good reaction. Infant Annihilator - Unholy Gravebirth or Blasphemian Paleface - Curse Us Hunt the Dinosaur - Destructo & only cover Methwitch - Burn Victim Black Tongue - Parting Soliloquy Orbit Culture - I, The Wolf Amon Amarth - As Loke Falls Tallah - Overconfidence
If you like this sound from back in the day, please check out Just (Defied) Sin by the band Bruised But Not Broken They were like a younger MMF meets Asking Alexandria :)
MMF Challenger. full album reaction. it was the most anticipated album of its time and set the record for highest selling album from rise records by pre orders alone.
Memphis May Fire used to be so good until they went full on I love Jesus mode. Sleepwalking and Between The Lies EP was really amazing but the hollow was one of the best albums of metalcore/post-hardcore of all time imo.
the 'Jesus' mode has always been with them, most of the bands are just 'anti Jesus' mode hating on Christian faith, and it's amazing than MMF stay strong with these christianity feeling, one of my favorite things of them
This song and the album (The Hollow) it comes off of are fantastic. I also really enjoyed the next album Challenger and even enjoyed parts of Unconditional. The last two releases though did not work for me and they have completely changed their sound to a generic rock band.
Haven't listened to these guys in quite awhile. They always seemed to be at a show I was going to though. Matty Mullins from what I've heard isn't the best dude in the world. I remember hearing him call out a bunch of young girls at his show for dressing "like sluts" plus he recently had to apologize for racial slurs he used back in the day. No one is perfect though and I try to separate the art from the artist as much as possible. And I agree with João. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA - DANGER :WILDMAN
Back when the band was legitimately good. It's so sad they fell downhill so much since then. The vocalist is literally being played on generic christian radio stations. Like the kind of stuff you would hear in a nondemoninational church. Their music got super generic and preachy. They have always taken themselves too seriously tho. I know a lot of bands memed on them like Issues and Motionless in White because of how much Matty kept making it seem like he was saving people's lives with his music and that he kept doing these forced motivational speeches during shows that made it seem so fake and orchestrated. But, at least the band was actually good back then. Now they just do the same thing without having the music to back it up.

“The Hollow” is 2011 post-hardcore/metalcore at its finest. I highly recommend reacting to the entirety of the album since it’s MMF in its prime
I listened to this album for a year straight. Disappointed to see the direction they decided to go after Vices
@@trevorkreipel6256 couldn’t agree more. There were a few solid songs on Unconditional but for the most part, everything just started sounding corny and way overproduced. Sleepwalking, The Hollow, and Challenger are as good as it gets with MMF

React to Covergirl by The Ongoing Concept
The whole album is a banger, but do yourself a favor and check out "the abandoned" off that same album, best song on the album for me.
Yeah the hollow/challenger records are their high point, kinda declined over recent years in terms of heaviness/interesting song writing.
This song and the album (The Hollow) it comes off of are fantastic. I also really enjoyed the next album Challenger and even enjoyed parts of Unconditional. The last two releases though did not work for me and they have completely changed their sound to a generic rock band.
