Freddie started out as a singer with a couple of groups before the comedy took over - he might have been unpredictable, but had a great voice! RIP Freddie.

Without doubt Freddie Starr was one of greatest all round entertainers this country has ever seen, and to see the way he ended his days, a ruined figure of a man, brought on by the British Media, Shame on all of you that were involved, and you know who you are.

Freddie is primarily a very unpredictable comedian who could sing, but to check him out watch his take on the song Vincent. Hilarious and clever.

Now I understand why Don MacLean compared Home Free to the Jordanaires.

Wow, your singing was bloody amazing. I am in the UK and would buy buy an album if you released one. I get the impression you could do a bit of hard stuff as well. I remember you used to react to Little Mix, did you ever react to their "Falling" a Harry Styles cover. PS. When I said "hard stuff" I meant "rock" PPS. please react to Freddy Starr doing "Vincent". He was a comic genius.

The "smokin" reference was Freddy impersonating Jim Carey in the movie Mask, as was the line "Somebody Stop me!" I'd love to see you reacting to Freddy's "Vincent" sketch, it's more of a comedy sketch but funny as hell. On a side note, you're a great singer also :)

Brad see if you can react to Freddie doing " Vincent " , it's brilliant . 🇬🇧

Its not his catchphrase. He was copying The Mask movie, popular at the time

Freddie wanted to be a really successful singer, but the comedy took over. Then people wouldn't really let him be that serious LOL RIP Freddie!

The only opinion that matters is the fact that the Jordanaires thought that Freddie was closest to Elvis that they had ever heard - you opinion means diddly squat

Bit of a stupid comment that, no one is the original artist but that's pretty damn close for a comedian whose not even American.
