I don't know if this is true, but someone said that the angler uses a weird ray tracing method, where a non seeable light will be put (for example in a small hallway) in the very middle, then if the ray tracing hits the player they will die when angler shows up (cannot be said the same for pandemonium as his ray tracing is always on him on goes infinity far as anglers only goes to a certain point). That's why some really stupid spots work like in-between the box and drawer. But that's just a theory...

Crouching and looking down is actually an extremely effective and realistic way to hide from all them monsters, looking down bends the characters body, so you're basically crawling when crouching and looking down, a pretty good lifesaver when paired with some nearby crates.
2:28 You can actually hide in the smaller office room, you just have to squeeze yourself in between two desks. I found this out through desperation and a lot of faith. I'm 90% sure this does not work with Pandemonium, although I haven't gotten the opportunity to try it.
Pandemonium has the ability to see farther and through transparent blocks, for example windows and shelves. If you are completely hidden it'll probably work
If you’re ever in the water, and have no place to go, try swimming up as high as you can. This have saved my life twice in those really tall, long hallways that eyefection likes to stalk! Also, sometimes while underwater there will be holes/chunks of the facility destroyed. If anyone but Pandemonium is coming, you can swim into the abyss to survive them, your collar will beep, but as long as you time it right, you will survive and hopefully not get your head blown up!
@@Slimy222 The reason it works for all the angler variants is because they can’t see very far up I would assume, so by swimming to the very top of the tall hallway, they will go right by you without noticing you’re even there
14:00 for this I honestly believe that Anglers function a little like Squiddles. It’s not just a proximity thing, it’s a *time* spent in proximity thing. If Angler only gets a split second where he sees you before his vision is immediately blocked by objects in the room, (such as crates and cabinets but usually not lockers for some reason), then he won’t be able to kill you. Really puts the blind in partially blind.
I'm 90% sure its this: The Angler will kill you if a) A ray casted between the player and the Angler does not intersect another object b) The player isn't too far away from the Angler c) The player is within the Angler's field of view Under these conditions, the reason why hiding between two very close objects works is because of the limited rate at which the Angler can raycast to check for occlusion¹. The Angler can only check so often meaning there's gonna be gaps of time between raycasts, which, combined with the high speed of the Angler means there will be a window where the Angler is still moving but is currently "on cooldown" for raycasting. Conceptually, the process would be as follows: the Angler checks for occlusion sometime *before* the "halfway" point of your hiding spot (somewhere before the line which bisects the space between the two objects and that is orthogonal to the two objects) where the ray intersects the first object and thus you don't die, then, it keeps moving past that halfway point (briefly into the area where, intuitively, it *should* be able to see you), then sometime after the halfway point raycasts again once able, far enough to where the ray will intersect the second object. This all creates the general affect of the player magically surviving in a way that seems wrong. This theory would also support the phenomena of a player being able to survive an Angler by just crouching at the far end of a desk that is right next to the exit to a room (theoretically caused by the same raycast delay, but this time the "second raycast" as mentioned above would just be hitting the exterior wall to the room after the Angler leaves). However, these strategies (mainly speaking of the "far end desk" strategy mentioned right above, as I haven't been in a situation where this could be tested with a two object strategy. though conceptually, this should be true for both) don't really work unless the segment of the path of the Angler around the area where the player is hiding is parallel to the wall nearest to the player (or more accurately, parallel to the two objects themselves in the case of the two object strategy). Meaning, if there's a 90-degree turn and the player tries to hide right at the elbow of that turn, the Angler would see them because it would be moving directly towards the player for long enough for a ray to connect (as opposed to passing by quickly). As for why I specifically *don't* think its a function of time spent in view of an angler: I've been killed by Anglers instantaneously upon them entering line of sight of me. So either I'm misunderstanding the circumstances of those instant deaths, or time does matter somewhat but that's not the whole picture, or something else. I could certainly be wrong though, and I'm interested to see if we as a community are able to find out more specific information on how the monsters in Pressure work on a technical level. I'd also like to reiterate that end-of-room-desk-crouching strategy I mentioned above, that strategy is seriously amazing and I don't think it was mentioned in this video (idk, maybe I missed it, I'm real tired rn). It's seriously as easy as crouching at the far end of a desk that is close enough to the exit door (and maybe looking slightly down to keep your head from peeking above the desk). I've done it countless times and I've never been killed by an Angler that way. ¹ I'd reckon this rate limit isn't for performance reasons because Pandemonium can "see a lot better" theoretically by raycasting with a much smaller interval, which makes me think its a deliberate choice to limit Anglers. This would fit the lore of Anglers being blind whereas Pandemonium can see perfectly fine.
@Ele_Ral i thought this at first, but i kinda doubt its performance related since pandemonium seemingly raycasts at such a high frequency and doesn't seem to cause any issues
Literally commented this before finding your comment. Happened in the server room, and I hid in the middle of the vents. Actually my first death to Pandemonium.
My first death to Pandemonium was when i was playing the for the first or second time. I was expecting an Angler and then i heard Pandemoniums sound and i was like "That Angler sounds different". And then that blasted minigame comes up and i fail it.
@@headlessheir That is not why. Pandemonium is a anomaly that has very good senses and vision, and even a change in light will alert it. Since you are in the locker and you are moving, Pandemonium senses it, so it rams itself into the locker untill it breaks open and it can eat you, but since you are built different, you survive.
on the part about The Ridge, it can be much more easily explained through how monster spawning works. there are two types of spawns, a node spawn and a timer spawn. every room is a node and for every node there is a chance for a node monster to spawn when the node is loaded (which is when a player opens the door to a new room). a timer spawn is a random monster spawn that occurs on an interval of about 5 minutes (which will decrease the further into a run you are, down to roughly 45 seconds at the beginning of The Ridge) since the last time a monster was spawned. this effectively means that a monster has a chance to spawn every time a door is opened, however, if no monster is spawned as part of a node before a certain length of time passes, a monster will spawn independently of any nodes to attack the player. with this in mind, you can very easily predict when the monster will attack at almost any point in the run, especially in The Ridge due to increased monster spawn rates
@@tyterius0755 the node would be the room itself, the node monster has a chance to spawn when a player enters a new node (by opening the door to the next room) and that chance increases the further into a run you are (this is why a monster spawns in almost every room in The Ridge) the timer spawn is likely a failsafe in the event that a node monster is unable to spawn or if players are lingering in one area for too long. i don't know the exact length of time, but about 5 minutes, give or take, is my best guess. you shouldn't have to worry about timer spawns unless you're using hiding spots for prolonged periods of time, like during The Ridge segment of this video. also, as far as i'm aware, the only enemies counted as node monsters are Angler and its variants (Frogger, Blitz, Pinkie, Chainsmoker), meaning Pandemonium will still be able to attack you outside of these spawn windows.
On one of my runs, i got to the ridge but I only opened the first door (the door right after the purple card door) and I got pandemonium. I hid in the security room and I survived, then went through the door I just opened. I wasn't in that room for more than a minute, then angler came and I died. So if you were to get pandemonium on that first door, you could also get angler/an angler variant?
@@2bgon Pandemonium will spawn outside of node and timer spawns because it's not a node monster. The only node monsters are Angler and its variants (Frogger, Blitz, Pinkie, Chainsmoker). This means that it's possible for them to spawn back-to-back. Pandemonium shares the initial mechanics of a node monster (follows a set path, spawns when the player enters a new node), but the check for its spawn exists separately from node monsters (meaning one room can have both attack you) and Pandemonium will also deviate from its path to attack players.
Few things: Each room isnt a node, timer spawns reset whenever an angler door spawns, and timer (in the ridge) can vary from roughly 5 minutes to 30 seconds. Ur safest opportunity to leave hiding is whenever an angler spawns, timer or not.
Not a hiding spot but would like to note something cool. The room just before the generators kick back in properly (as in the room with the big doors that leads into the final room) is a safe space as in it can make anglers and pandemonium vanish. Me and a friend were doing a run and we were one room before that room and pandemonium was coming and saw us but we opened the door to that room and they vanished.
13:49 This is what saved my run I think, I kept getting terrible rooms but the lights flickered so I HAD to keep going forward, and JUST in time I found a spot like this and crawled backwards into it and survived. Also a tip maybe for 16:05 If at first you don't get angler here, you can wait until Pandemonium passes! Even if it takes maybe 5 or 10 minutes eventually he will come. Then continue on and you will guaranteed have only the other anglers and no more Pand which could save your run if you do have a hiding spot but not one that is Pand safe, it definitely did for me :')
@@FrivolousAverage yes it can only appear once between rooms 25-100, and then only once in the ridge, so once it has passed in either zone once you know he won’t be back until either the next section or not at all if it’s in the ridge

8:50 angler and pandemonium are actually able to see behind lockers, the reason this works is due to the fact that you are hiding pretty fair away for their raycast to properly function (doesnt work with pande)
Yeah 100% doesn't work on pandaemonium. From the distances I've had him spot me from, he has no conceivable limit. To my knowledge he will track you from practically any distance.
also at 2:30, it's indeed possible to hide here, just go down the stairs and hug the nearest wall on the right (must be crouching, and preferrably: must the be side with no stairs)
I find shoving myself between two desks on the stair side works (all the times I’ve had to) crouch and look down but you have to keep yourself tucked in between them (I was desperate lmao)
Have you ever imagined the chance to have 3 void right next to each other and to have brown angler to attack in them middle of nowhere at the same time? We just died due to visual bug and lack of luck (none of lockers shown eyes, no sound either)
2:31 you can actually hide here but its not guaranteed, near the stairs you can crouch behind one of the small walls and pray, since the angler (doesnt work for pandemonium btw) check every second for a player, if its timed right you can survive if in a pitch.
A more detailed guide on the first searchlights encounter: On the far left of the arena, there are some fallen shelves that you can press against the top and hide (you probably know this) When searchlights howls, you have around 2.5 seconds to get out of the lights before he hooks you. This is extremely effective. Searchlights has a 25 degree swivel on its lights, so you could theoretically hide a certain distance from it and follow it safely. Entities can’t spawn or enter the arena (except wall dwellers, little bastards can follow you in and keep thundercunting me like crazy) After ending the encounter, you have much less of a window for special segments, allowing much higher chances of side rooms and + rooms. Hope this helps, doesn’t help me because pandemonium has the patience of a Rottweiler on bath salts.

*Here is a SUPER useful tip for good people rooms: instead of listening next to a door to hear growling or waiting for the door to malfunction, look at the screen with the numbers. If you see lines, then that’s a fake. If you see no lines, walk right through it. This has helped me a bunch with getting through these rooms and one time I was watching a bit Ryan playing pressure in MiniPlayer while playing pressure, and when I turned off the mini player, the sound wouldn’t come back, so I was basically entirely deaf and couldn’t determine what was the fake door. Luckily I remembered this tip from a very helpful commenter was able to leave that room without getting hurt from good people.* *Edit: I was just informed that you can get the good people in the ridge. If that happens, look at the lights near the door.* #fuckvoicedictation
There is a specific room. SPecifically a room that generates with a hole in the wall that you have to pass through. The specific one I'm talking about has a fallen shelf that you can use to hide from all the node monsters. Even with pandemonium. I saw it's forehead scrape by while I was hiding there. If I could share a diagram of the room I would..
A quick tip: if you think you found a perfect spot and its beside a locker dont hide, always if it is between a wall, desk, crate or another locker or if you crouch and look down, it won't work. (I'm not so sure if it could work if the distance between the locker and the stuff are stretch.)
@@Arghjeal it’s not actually a jump. Shaking your camera into some objects somehow tricks the game to believe you are above it. I’m not sure if it works in the new update though because I haven’t been able to play, so it might not work anymore.
In the final office room you can hide if you squeeze between one of the desks and chairs but its one of those 50/50 spots that either work or don't work. Also, in diamond shaped rooms, anglers always prioritizes the anglers left side pathing if the door is in the middle, if the angler is coming from the front it prioritizes (your) right. The greenhouse area is the exact opposite, always prioritizes right (your left if front), frogger is basically just gonna screw you in these rooms unless you have enough time.

Hey man, i just have to say that this tutorial did almost everything to my lockerless run, i got a lot of tips, and i did it my first try 3 days ago, just after i woke up. Thank you.
2:31 in the 3rd office room variation you can actually crouch down next to the chair that faces away from the wall right next to the stairs to dodge Angler (not Pandemonium tho)
Didn’t know about some of these spots, I’ve been trying a lightless AND lockerless run so hopefully knowing some stuff like how to climb boxes will help with that.
This is an amazing video, really informative since I just got into this game and felt overwhelmed by the lack of info on how to beat the entities. And now we have all this cheese! You totally deserve more views, man.
For the small office room there is in fact a safe spot, between the second and third desk you can actually fit between the two. If you bump yourself over the (45* chair facing outward) then put yourself between the two desks and crouch down it's a valid safe spot! You must look down tho!
Thank you for the tips! I managed to beat it within 15-20 tries and I am in shock!!! So much! I thought it would take me more and I'd die at the ridge since it was my first time being at the ridge but I didn't die!
8:19 I hid right in the middle when pandemonium came. He didn’t see me, but that was because I had positioned myself so that I was directly under the pipes and basically unable to be seen. It’s still a gamble, so you’re better off not going in the middle and just staying in the vent, as it guarantees that you won’t be seen
I almost got lockerless but died in the ridge. Sad days. I wish I watch these videos earlier and I may have strategized differently. I've kind of been learning from my mistakes and this video will prevent from making even more mistakes so thank you XD
something thats a little unfortunate, ive been told that monsters can see through the lockers and dont count it as an obstruction in their vision so hiding beind those lockers (9:01) would only work if its not pandi as the regular anglers cant reach there if what i was told was true then that explains one of my deaths if you would like proof :)
Thanks for the information!! I'm not really trying to do a no locker run since I usually die before I even get to Sebastian's shop. But this is great information for if I'm in a situation where no lockers are available, whether that's just there's no lockers in the room or one of my friends snatches the locker before me, lmao.
One thing I discovered while playing Lockerless, Pandemonium can only spawn once in the Ridge. So I would just basically wait in the control room until Pandemonium comes and goes before I start traversing the Ridge
@SoloKMG In the Ridge, the node monsters spawn every about 3-6 minutes (on average) with every room in the Ridge having as much as triple the spawn chance of Angler variants/Pandemonium as the normal room. The Angler and its variants can spawn infinite times into the Ridge, but Pandemonium can only spawn once
Just a valuable tip, the game itself is not unfair, it generates rooms where you can hide from any creature without going into a locker, however, of course, it depends a lot on your attention If you passed a Safe Spot, go back; otherwise, go ahead and be quick to find a safe spot in the new room
Thank you so much for the helpful tips and the video! I've been playing lots of Pressure with friends. I hope we get to see more Pressure videos in the future!
Not hiding from the monsters is hell bruh it's already hard to deal with the others you just really trying to make yourself go insane💀 But we all respect it👍
This achievement really should be renamed "Sisyphus Arc" because god it just is. Over the course of a week ive spend over 5 hours and 30 attempts on it and im probably going to have to double it.
If waterfall rooms are unbroken you can go across both bridges and hug the boxes in the corner opposite the door. MUST HUG THE BOXES, as anglers raycast from the bridge
oof that sucks remember that in the ridge, the minimum time for an angler to spawn is 45 seconds, but it could be longer than that because each timer is randomized i think hope that helps next time
@@Zi4rra Before, you can hide behind stuffs that are near the door either entrance or exit, that makes all more easier to hide if its only against angler and its variants. Now you cannot hide there and if you try you'll always die.
as long as pandemonium does not see you enter the vents they should all be safe if youre not near the entrances also im really curious as to why looking downward is the key to making most spots safe
I haven’t checked, but I think our heads pivots on the torso so looking down would have our avatars duck their head down, lowering our height I assume looking upward would also have a similar effect
13:41 You can hop over the railing (By using the climbing method) and walk backwards up the corner wall of this room. If the corner is leading RIGHT, use the LEFT corner. If the corner is leading LEFT (like the one in the video) use the corner DIRECTLY IN FRONT of you. (This is because this room has one main corner, but there's a divider between the two walls. One side is just barely out of Angler's reach, and the other is just straight death.) Either way, you are NOT safe from Pandemonium (like most spots in the game. Why Pandemonium, WHYYY??) Going for a further room that IS safe from Pandemonium is still recommended, but it doesn't hurt to go for this to avoid Angler. Good luck on the Badge, everyone!

12:34 at the horizontal vents where you said “not sure about pandemonium” You can hide from him in there, but you have to stay in the middle and not near any of the openings of the vent. I know this from panicking and booking it to a vent when I realized it was him. Hope this helps ^^

If i remember correctly, In the waterfall rooms, you can hide on the rocks with a waterfall on the right from the original path, if you shove yourself up high enough and far away, you can (possibly) survive angler. I survived pandemonium using this last resort hiding spot, and i died to angler in a seperate run. So use this as a last resort
4:47 funny story, i used this once so, i opened a door (lets say door A) and that spawned a pinky. i didnt hear pinky till right before i opened a door (door B) into the next room, which was this generation. i desperately ran towards the planks in hopes id reach a locker before pinky showed up, only to barely make it across the planks as pinky ran by, shocking me pleasantly
someone correct me if im wrong, but i think if you enter a fake door right as an angler is coming through the room, the Good People pretty much save you (maybe with the exception of losing some health, though im not sure) i randomly ran through a door after not finding a hiding spot in time in hopes of finding one in the next room, panicked as i was sure the cutscene that played out not a second later was me getting attacked by the Good People, and pretty much got teleported into the next room through the right door instead completely despawning any sign of the angler. It played one of Painter's lines in the next room ("O-oh, you're alive" i think). If i can't find hiding spots again in any of my runs trying to get this badge, ima try doing it again to try and confirm *megamind voice* and I will GET BACK to you
Yeah, I learned about 8:30 the hard way. I wasn't down there to be killed, but a smoker came through and I was in the next room and got in a locker a bit after he entered the stair room. Unfortunately I was about half a second too fast because of those stairs. Used a token though and managed to beat the game for my first time so I'm not too mad about it
Please feel free to list any hiding spots that weren't included in the video or any inaccruate info, that would be greatly appreciated!

Uh... He checks every locker, causing to enter rooms that others can't?
14:00 for this I honestly believe that Anglers function a little like Squiddles. It’s not just a proximity thing, it’s a *time* spent in proximity thing. If Angler only gets a split second where he sees you before his vision is immediately blocked by objects in the room, (such as crates and cabinets but usually not lockers for some reason), then he won’t be able to kill you. Really puts the blind in partially blind.
I'm 90% sure its this:
The Angler will kill you if
a) A ray casted between the player and the Angler does not intersect another object
b) The player isn't too far away from the Angler
c) The player is within the Angler's field of view
Under these conditions, the reason why hiding between two very close objects works is because of the limited rate at which the Angler can raycast to check for occlusion¹.
@Ele_Ral i thought this at first, but i kinda doubt its performance related since pandemonium seemingly raycasts at such a high frequency and doesn't seem to cause any issues
no thats way harder to code they wouldnt waste their time on that lol
@@awakaxis i think pan just detect if there is a player in a room thru variables and if they are in his fov hes gonna activate pathfind

Literally commented this before finding your comment. Happened in the server room, and I hid in the middle of the vents. Actually my first death to Pandemonium.
Pan sounds intensify
My first death to Pandemonium was when i was playing the for the first or second time. I was expecting an Angler and then i heard Pandemoniums sound and i was like "That Angler sounds different". And then that blasted minigame comes up and i fail it.
So true. I didn’t recognize pandemonium and really believed, that everything will be alright 😭
edit: this was a comment talking about how the lockers are transparent to the enemy's ai, but since friendly fire, that has been changed via update
so that's why you can look at eyefest through a locker
Yep bro
Yeah! This is why Pandemonium still aggros to you in the locker for the minigame!
Ohhhb that explains why i got killed by frogger for seemingly no reason
@@headlessheir That is not why. Pandemonium is a anomaly that has very good senses and vision, and even a change in light will alert it. Since you are in the locker and you are moving, Pandemonium senses it, so it rams itself into the locker untill it breaks open and it can eat you, but since you are built different, you survive.
Knowing these kinds of strategies, no wonder this guy has all the achievements.

He still doesn't have the turrets
on the part about The Ridge, it can be much more easily explained through how monster spawning works.
there are two types of spawns, a node spawn and a timer spawn. every room is a node and for every node there is a chance for a node monster to spawn when the node is loaded (which is when a player opens the door to a new room). a timer spawn is a random monster spawn that occurs on an interval of about 5 minutes (which will decrease the further into a run you are, down to roughly 45 seconds at the beginning of The Ridge) since the last time a monster was spawned. this effectively means that a monster has a chance to spawn every time a door is opened, however, if no monster is spawned as part of a node before a certain length of time passes, a monster will spawn independently of any nodes to attack the player.
with this in mind, you can very easily predict when the monster will attack at almost any point in the run, especially in The Ridge due to increased monster spawn rates
so you mean that, a node is when a monster spawn when a door is opened and a timer spawn means that a monster will come every 5 minutes?
@@tyterius0755 the node would be the room itself, the node monster has a chance to spawn when a player enters a new node (by opening the door to the next room) and that chance increases the further into a run you are (this is why a monster spawns in almost every room in The Ridge)
the timer spawn is likely a failsafe in the event that a node monster is unable to spawn or if players are lingering in one area for too long. i don't know the exact length of time, but about 5 minutes, give or take, is my best guess.
you shouldn't have to worry about timer spawns unless you're using hiding spots for prolonged periods of time, like during The Ridge segment of this video.
also, as far as i'm aware, the only enemies counted as node monsters are Angler and its variants (Frogger, Blitz, Pinkie, Chainsmoker), meaning Pandemonium will still be able to attack you outside of these spawn windows.
I heard pandemonium comes only once in the ridge. Is it true? Because I haven’t beaten the game yet
@@FrivolousAverage yes it can only appear once between rooms 25-100, and then only once in the ridge, so once it has passed in either zone once you know he won’t be back until either the next section or not at all if it’s in the ridge
@@starberry847 if you already got an angler in the first room can you just wait until pande comes in or do you keep going until the next room?
@@bugadoodle they do have a mechanic where after being in a room for a long certain amount of time that it’ll spawn another one ( a timer spawn) I don’t know yet if pande can do that but I think it might have happened to me once but maybe I didn’t realize! 8:50 angler and pandemonium are actually able to see behind lockers, the reason this works is due to the fact that you are hiding pretty fair away for their raycast to properly function (doesnt work with pande)

2:31 you can actually hide here but its not guaranteed, near the stairs you can crouch behind one of the small walls and pray, since the angler (doesnt work for pandemonium btw) check every second for a player, if its timed right you can survive if in a pitch.
A more detailed guide on the first searchlights encounter:
On the far left of the arena, there are some fallen shelves that you can press against the top and hide (you probably know this)
When searchlights howls, you have around 2.5 seconds to get out of the lights before he hooks you. This is extremely effective.
Searchlights has a 25 degree swivel on its lights, so you could theoretically hide a certain distance from it and follow it safely.
Entities can’t spawn or enter the arena (except wall dwellers, little bastards can follow you in and keep thundercunting me like crazy)
After ending the encounter, you have much less of a window for special segments, allowing much higher chances of side rooms and + rooms.
Hope this helps, doesn’t help me because pandemonium has the patience of a Rottweiler on bath salts.

Some hiding spot i found: I was playing pressure and i was in these underwater rooms, angler was rushing to me so i decided to do something stupid and hiding behind a box. Somehow he just ignored me and i survived. Im currently on day 2 of doing lockerless run and this was a great guide, thank you so much for posting this!
11:12 You almost let Pandemonium sees you through the glass window on the next 2 rooms.
true but since the sound faded away (indicating that it despawned), he wouldn't be dead anyway, unless if he looked at the glass early
Luckily I remembered this tip from a very helpful commenter was able to leave that room without getting hurt from good people.*
*Edit: I was just informed that you can get the good people in the ridge. If that happens, look at the lights near the door.*
#fuckvoicedictation
Finally a youtube tutorial with no commentary that flashes text between the screen at readable intervals.
Can I ask how can he jump ?
@@Arghjeal it’s not actually a jump. Shaking your camera into some objects somehow tricks the game to believe you are above it. I’m not sure if it works in the new update though because I haven’t been able to play, so it might not work anymore.
It works.
Pathing in 50/50 rooms is random
@@2tonpotato I’ve started to look more in depth on it, yes, but it also still feels like no, I still majority of the time have the entity going to right while I’m on the left, but there’s always that one time, I’d rather keep a safer answer and say yeah it is 50-50

One thing I discovered while playing Lockerless, Pandemonium can only spawn once in the Ridge. So I would just basically wait in the control room until Pandemonium comes and goes before I start traversing the Ridge
wait do monsters spawn every set time?
@SoloKMG
In the Ridge, the node monsters spawn every about 3-6 minutes (on average) with every room in the Ridge having as much as triple the spawn chance of Angler variants/Pandemonium as the normal room. The Angler and its variants can spawn infinite times into the Ridge, but Pandemonium can only spawn once

as long as pandemonium does not see you enter the vents they should all be safe if youre not near the entrances
also im really curious as to why looking downward is the key to making most spots safe
I haven’t checked, but I think our heads pivots on the torso so looking down would have our avatars duck their head down, lowering our height
I assume looking upward would also have a similar effect
If you can see pandemonium then pandemonium can see you
13:41 You can hop over the railing (By using the climbing method) and walk backwards up the corner wall of this room. If the corner is leading RIGHT, use the LEFT corner. If the corner is leading LEFT (like the one in the video) use the corner DIRECTLY IN FRONT of you. (This is because this room has one main corner, but there's a divider between the two walls. One side is just barely out of Angler's reach, and the other is just straight death.)
Either way, you are NOT safe from Pandemonium (like most spots in the game. Why Pandemonium, WHYYY??) Going for a further room that IS safe from Pandemonium is still recommended, but it doesn't hurt to go for this to avoid Angler. Good luck on the Badge, everyone!

i randomly ran through a door after not finding a hiding spot in time in hopes of finding one in the next room, panicked as i was sure the cutscene that played out not a second later was me getting attacked by the Good People, and pretty much got teleported into the next room through the right door instead completely despawning any sign of the angler. It played one of Painter's lines in the next room ("O-oh, you're alive" i think). If i can't find hiding spots again in any of my runs trying to get this badge, ima try doing it again to try and confirm
*megamind voice* and I will GET BACK to you
Thanks dude! It was confusing finding safe spots
Yeah, I learned about 8:30 the hard way. I wasn't down there to be killed, but a smoker came through and I was in the next room and got in a locker a bit after he entered the stair room. Unfortunately I was about half a second too fast because of those stairs.
Used a token though and managed to beat the game for my first time so I'm not too mad about it
Very interesting and detailed guide, thanks to the author
