I think what she was saying is about coming to Europe from a developing country thinking that with a student visa you can get a side job and save a lot of money but it's not true, she is explaining that if you come come with the same mindset of studying hard as you would have in your own country because if you focus on side jobs just because you are in Europe paying little* you might lose your degree. The second thing is that she explain that education in Italy (as mostly in all Latin countries) is very traditional and demanding, that the education system in the UK and the US might be a lot more easier and simple, so if you are coming to Italy thinking you will have a party time and have lots of fun at the university time is actually wrong because the education is very traditional and it will cost a lot to pass with good marks. So the main point are to not come if you want to focus in side jobs and neither to have parties all the time, otherwise you might end up losing your degree and then would be better to stay in your own country. Instead if you come come with the mindset of studying hard and although the fees are low and Italy sounds to be a great country to live the reality is that the student life will be hard but rewarding. Focus on the reality. It's actually a great realistic perspective.
@@sl5154I don’t know who put this in your head that study in the US is easy 😂. They don’t even accept you in their schools for PhD at least without GRE and English test, unlike the European universities!
Studying in Italy can be a challenge, primarily with the after-graduation aspects. I always tell people to not romanticize coming here but rather see it as an opportunity to learn in your craft or your patience skills. 🤣 Also I highly recommend having a hobby or something outside of school to keep you sane.
@@NemuriNezumi94 Finding work in Italy that allows you to live an affordable life is very diffcult. For an example a common salary from what I've seen for a designer starting out is 500-1200 euros. An apartment in Milan is about 800-1200 euros. Not impossible but hard for immigrants and even Italians to find good jobs. This is why Italy is having a brain drain where people study here and then move somewhere else. Prepare yourself to apply to many many jobs and accept that you might need to freelance for awhile if you are a designer.
00:00 Don't come to Italy for studying abroad. 🚫 00:36 Italy is not a good place to study if your goal is to make a lot of money. 💰 01:22 Student B, who survived on a scholarship and actively upgraded his skills, is now ready to start his career with good job prospects, while Student A is facing uncertainty. 💰 02:06 After 2 years of studying in Italy, the speaker has no degree, only money, and is working part-time jobs with no career plan or future growth. 👎 02:45 If you're not a dedicated student or looking to make money, don't come to Italy to study as it's challenging, requires learning Italian, and offers limited English-speaking opportunities. 🇮🇹 03:31 Studying in Italy is challenging due to the conceptual-based approach, but there is less pressure as students have multiple chances to pass exams until they are satisfied with their marks. 🚫 04:14 Don't come to Italy to study because the low tuition fees may be tempting, but it's not worth it if there is no future career growth. 👎 04:56 Don't come to Italy to study, stay in your home country and start your own business instead
Italy is one of the best places in the workd to study. The quality of the courses is outstanding The education fees are negligible . What you need to avoid instead are countries like the UK where the courses teach you one third of what you learn in italy and costs are x10. From someone who made the mistake of studying in uk
I would encourage someone to come to Study in Italy but not the lazy ones because you also have to learn the language. If you are hardworking come and study in Italy.

Ironically, Italy suffer of the problem of over-education. We have too many specialized workers. 75% of diplomats, 30 to 35% with university degrees. We can't give a job for all, so they fleed the country in order to find jobs elsewhere.
You are absolutely right, especially on point 3. Most of the students (not all of them) find their study programmes and their lifestyle as a students unenjoyable here in Italy
@@mahyakhorasani from what I've both heard and experienced, most programs are so old school with dated subjects and concepts that it's not even funny (example: Studying literature would be fine while engineering would be awful). It's so easy to get discouraged because you're gonna go through it all alone because most teachers tend not to help you, which is ridiculous and makes everything harder that it should be. These are the two main factors which you'd deal with 99% of italian universities and that's why they are bad. There's a lot more into it but I'll stop here.
@@gregandre148 My brother's in university. It's better if the teachers dont help you too much, because if they do you wont learn anything at all. Also, Italy's schools are one of the best in europe for education as they mainly focus on theory which helps more for the future ( less for the present )
@@santium9494 I couldn't agree less, of course teachers don't have to help too much their students, but they can't leave them totally on their own either, we need balance. Most courses being 100% theoretical besides "tirocinio" (which also sucks) is not optimal, yet again we need balance between theory and practice, you can't have one without the other. Finally theory being more useful in the future and less in the present does not make any sense, if we want a better future we have to actually focus on the present!!!

Hi there. How do you do?? I wanna know something.I live in Florence with my father. I have finished my 10th standard school study from Bangladesh with science department. Now ,I wanna study the intermediate level here. Could you give me any advice???
Hi, dear. I need a little guidance if you will... I am from Romania, and for personal reasons want to study aboard. I want to study Psychology, and I did consider Canada for that, but it is rather expensive to travel to Canada for that reason. On the other hand, I had also considered Italy, and I know Italian, as I lived there for a little while when I was a kid, so the language stuck with me. However, I want to study Psychology in English, and recently I found out about John Cabot University (JCU) in Rome. My question is, would you recommend me to study aboard in Italy at the JCU, given the fact that I know the Italian language, too, I am willing to study to improve my skills and growth, and I have relatives around Italy, too? Also If I attend the JCU in Rome, after finishing my B.A degree, will I be able to follow up my master's degree in the same university, or possibly, even Canada? Is the B.A degree valid internationally? Thank you.^^
Whenever you are deciding on studying abroad, apart from the costs and the course structure you must focus on the career you make out of it and the country's Job market. Do deep research on this topic and come to a conclusion If affording is still a problem doing the bachelors in Italy and aiming for Masters in Canada could be a wise choice. Please do the research and save your time
I'm currently living in Italy I've lived in Italy for close to four years now and I also want to study psychology, but I'm from Nigeria and we speak English so it's kind of hard although I speak Italian language but I get what you're trying to say but I think psychology like for example the university that I want to go to the University of Padova because I live in Padua so it's a very good to study psychology there because it's one of the best universities to study psychology and if I want to do my masters it could be that same university or I could go to another country and I have also seen that psychology is a very good course that helps a lot and you can get jobs so I think it's based on your budget and Which university you want to attend. apart from that I don't see any problem for you studying here in Italy since you're from Romania and you can speak the Italian language.
Thank you so much 🥰. For sharing this to the world. You not only giving info but saving valuable students time , afford, even matters of life. Wishing you good luck in your path and God bless you 🙏.
Her advice is totally misleading.you dont ho to university to make money while you are studying. You go to university to study hard and then make money. The education you get in italy is a lifetime education You wont need to get any extra training from companies
@@lauracanino1424 I am planning to go study medicine there and I heard many people say that they focus on theory topics much more than practicals, is that true? And is the racism very unbearable over there and if you could tell me some things related to life there i will be really thankful
@@Hdhs32 okay, about the first question: Yes. Italian universities focus a lot on theory than practicals. This is absolutely true. From the elementary to the uni we are stressed with huge amount of theorical homeworks and books, and very few DOING and participating. Italian theachers (according to MY PERSONAL experience) are not high quality (with few excepsions). A must say: i found the quality of teachers in university better than the high school's. Unfortunately besides the enviroment and some good theacher I do not suggest you to study in italy unless you alredy have money for rent and food. You won't be followed and controled like in an north american or northen european uni, therefore you have to be very motivated by yourself, and knowing it's going to be basically theory. I also gotta say that i used to study modern languages and not medicine, but it' s my opinion even the medicine faculty is more theorical than in other countries. The good news is that is not expensive like an american college or an english university. As musch as concern question number two: That's a complex question, but i can figure out why you asked me. Around the 2019 to the 2022 in italy there was a fierce and massive anti-africans propaganda that threw Italians in an unjustified fear mongering about dark-skinned/muslims people. Suddenly both pubblic and private televisions (expecially berlusconi's...) made appear africans immigrants nothing but drug-sellers, murders and prostitutes. Of course nobody watched offcial data. If they did they would have known the greatest part of immigrants in italy is actually from estern europe and not from africa or middle-East. Now the propaganda is not everywhere as it used to be in those years, but many journalists paied from not raccomandable people are still on tv spreading their racist bullshits. In conclusion: i live in a small italian city, i have black friends from africa and santo Domingo who had never experienced racism of any kind. I also know blacks, asians and south eastern asians that never experienced racism at all, and i can firmly say that the nowadays right governement has been voted by a minorance of italians, even because the majority hasn't voted at all... So racism is not unbearable as it used to be once, but I cannot deny is still present in italy just like in other european countries with similiar dynamics. I hope i helped you and good luck for everything!
I have a question regarding Proof of Economic Background and Financial Support which is required for my Type D Study Visa in Italy. My father is a retired government employee under Voluntary Retirement Scheme 2019 (Central Government, BSNL), and has kept funds for my higher studies in Fixed deposits in different banks, Postal NSC, Postal KVP, Postal MIS in accounts. Can this be shown as financial liability for visa purpose or amount needs to be liquidated in bank account? Also, whether more than one bank account under my father’s name (who is my sponsor) can be shown?

Italy is a dying economy. But no doubt the education quality is still something to commend. The professors are smart, and know their stuff.

Italy sucks. It’s only good for vacation. Taxes are too high. It’s not a meritocracy. Low retirement, and there’s basically no justice there.
Studying in Italy can be a challenge, primarily with the after-graduation aspects. I always tell people to not romanticize coming here but rather see it as an opportunity to learn in your craft or your patience skills. 🤣 Also I highly recommend having a hobby or something outside of school to keep you sane.
What do you mean after-graduation? i'll be studying a master degree there hence why i'm asking lol

Ironically, Italy suffer of the problem of over-education.
We have too many specialized workers.
75% of diplomats, 30 to 35% with university degrees.
We can't give a job for all, so they fleed the country in order to find jobs elsewhere.
That's very interesting to hear and understand from a USA perspective. Of course we also have colleges but the quality of those is questionable.😅

Also
If I attend the JCU in Rome, after finishing my B.A degree, will I be able to follow up my master's degree in the same university, or possibly, even Canada? Is the B.A degree valid internationally?
Thank you.^^
Whenever you are deciding on studying abroad, apart from the costs and the course structure you must focus on the career you make out of it and the country's Job market. Do deep research on this topic and come to a conclusion
If affording is still a problem doing the bachelors in Italy and aiming for Masters in Canada could be a wise choice. Please do the research and save your time

@@Hdhs32 sure
@@lauracanino1424 I am planning to go study medicine there and I heard many people say that they focus on theory topics much more than practicals, is that true? And is the racism very unbearable over there and if you could tell me some things related to life there i will be really thankful
@@Hdhs32 okay, about the first question:
Yes.
As musch as concern question number two:
That's a complex question, but i can figure out why you asked me.
@@lauracanino1424 I asked about the racism over there because I wear my hijab so thank you so much this was really helpful and good luck to you too🤍

But it's such a fascistic state that is becoming more and more unfavourable for international student especially 3rd country students. The job market is pathetic and is only prioritise Italians. If you don't learn Italian to at least a B2 level, forget about it.
