chansoo | things i'd do for you

romantic canon-complement/au (i guess it depends on how you see things) but slightly angst nonetheless.

It was really hard to do an “angst” chansoo video, because chansoo are always warm and cute towards each other. In here "wake up" means their life as idols, famous and part of exo, that's why the scenes with these lyrics are always of concerts, award shows, airports with camera flashes, spaces when they are showing their public persona.
The whole idea of the video is "if we never wake up, maybe we can find a way" (i learned later the correct lyrics were "fly away", but "find a way" somehow makes sense to the song and the story i wanted to tell, how far they are willing to go). I tried to balance old and recent footage.
Since they express love differently, I tried to put this in the video too. The easiest thing to find is Kyungsoo staring lovingly at Chanyeol and Chanyeol talking lovingly about Kyungsoo. The opposite, not so much, but that doesn’t mean they don’t love each other any less.
You have probably noticed but some scenes are from a drama, just to illustrate the idea of the video (i tried not to overuse them though). It’s from a thai serie “Make it Right”.
