If you do it enough you get good at it. For 27 years I've driven drunk when it's the most convenient option (maybe twice a month on average). I've even been pulled over drunk (also high on weed and xanax) for things not related to driving. I was able to act normal and have never had a DUI or have been in an accident. I think this is more of a driving ability issue. Lol

It’s because their body does not react fast enough to flinch to brace for impact due to being so drunk, therefore their body is limp and has better chance of less bones breaking and puncturing viral organs. It’s so unfortunate but happens most of the time.

I honestly think I'm seeing this lack of empathy and spoiled childish behaviour more and more as this new generation become young adults. There is something about the Internet generation that don't seem to have any common sense and a total lack of empathy to others.
I'm 50 and grew up learning to share , learning hard work and knowing how to live in a civilised society, im not saying all of this generation are horrible selfish brats it just seems some kids don't seem to have any kind of reality to which they live their lives.
It's great having the Internet, social media , all the trappings of modern life , but I'd still rather have grown up in the 70s and 80s and have the common sense to know what reality really is.

I remember being hit by a drunk driver back in 2008 (totaled my car and I’ve had a lifetime of pain) I overheard the guy that hit me talking to his girlfriend on the phone and he was telling her that his life was over. This guy was at the police station and I was there also. He didn’t realize I was standing right there. I overheard him on the phone saying that I was ‘just some Mexican lady’ I was a young girl actually. This story just brought back memories of such a horrible time for me and no remorse from that guy. It pisses me off that it's considered manslaughter (at least in my state) vs what it actually is which imo, it's FIRST degree murder. People are well aware when they consume alcohol that it's going to affect ALL of their abilities. The second they take that first sip/gulp is the second they knew what their beverage of choice was going to do to them. If the laws were changed and people were now aware that driving drunk would lead to a 1st degree murder charge and sentence I'd bet they'd think twice about getting behind the wheel. Taking someones life only to recieved a few yrs isn't justice. Allowing citizens to have 3+ DUI's on their rap sheet is 2+ DUI's too many. It's time for a change...

To add some details: my cousin’s 2 year old daughter was also hit by this driver and she luckily recovered physically. My cousin’s husband found his wife and child in the road and had to witness his wife die. The driver initially got out of his car to see what he hit, then got back in his car and fled the scene. He was later found hiding in a shed.
This man later showed remorse, but remorse cannot undo a death. He took 2 lives and destroyed his own future.

But since they're rich, there isn't anything that can't be nullified by coin, connections, clout, crews, computer code, communities, and opportunities. People like Bezoz, Zuck, Chump, Theranos chick, Amber Heard, Wil Smith, etc. all get free passes! 💪😎✌️

I committed the same crime when I was 22. I was just incredibly lucky that nothing happened. Someone (maybe the bartender) called the police because they knew I was drunk off my ass and would be driving home. So it was easy for them to take me out of circulation. I am sooo grateful to the person who reported me to LE. I am still ashamed to this day when I think about it. I probably could not have lived with myself having killed someone through my criminal behavior. I had to surrender my driver's license for 6 months and pass a psychological test to get it back. Today I'm over 40 and I would try to stop anyone who wanted to drive drunk. An alcohol measurement method should be developed that is linked to starting a vehicle so that the engine only starts when the driver is sober. Of course, even such a device could be fooled, but it would still be an additional hurdle. I encourage everyone to call the police if they witness someone getting behind the wheel drunk.
And now to the person we are talking about here. Her attitude leaves me speechless. What a despicable behavior! Someone should urgently make her realize that she is a murderer.

If we're lucky someone will tell her what she did and she says a half hearted apology and thinks everything will go back to normal and that we won't be upset with her anymore but alot of the time she doesn't even apologise. 2 days ago she was screaming all day and night abusing people and even assaulted a 52 year old lady drawing blood then she called the cops crying saying she was the victim and the 52 year old attacked her and she wanted to press charges. I think I would have ended myself if I had done something like that. But I don’t drink… and I drive like a grandma. But I also appreciate that I could still make a mistake and hurt or kill someone.
But after hearing your analysis, I am just sadly angry with this entitled selfish brat. She needs hard consequences. Nothing else will help her understand the severity of her actions.
