Join me as I harvest a 2 year old sow that no longer fits my breeding program. I am processing her for myself and putting her in my own freezer. Her live weight was 469 lbs. I used my mobile livestock processing trailer to harvest her out in the field. I was able to get the job done by myself and load her into the truck thanks to the boom crane. I show the whole process from downing her all the way to her hanging in the cooler. See how a well placed shot with a .410 slug drops her instantly with no squealing.
I am not a professional processor so my skinning skills need some work, but skinning a hog is not easy, and she had lots of body fat that made it even more difficult. So it is not the prettiest job, but she's in the freezer and that's what counts.
