    This was super helpful- clarification question (previous vehicle owner cut one of the lines short) I have a vacuum line running from the Evap-Canister and then it goes down on the passenger side of the car between the distributor and firewall. It seems to be heading down towards the axels- is that one of the lines that go to the three prong transfer case?

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      YES, from the one that splits and go down to the Axle is the Splits - 3 Prong - Transfer Case breather. Some actually go all the way back to the Charcoal Canister too (Gas Vent). See diagram in the video.

    Plz correct me there are transmission case and tranfer case both are saprate from each other and both have there own vacume supply from switch when the swith ball moves up the transfer case vapour suck trough into the engine..??

    Umm . I have an 2000 s10 RWD LS. I have a three way splitter next to the vaccum canister, one goes to the throttle body, the other goes into a harness into the dash.. i think ill need to buy a aftermarket vaccum ball because mine is broke. What im confused about is the line yhat goes into a wiring harness lume, and into the dash.. just seems kinda wierd. This on a 2wd version.. suffering check engine lights rough idle, stalling.

    Thanks for the diagrams and stuff, but my 2000 s10 4.3L has no split line from the 4x4 actuator to a fan under the battery. It's just a single line straight in to the actuator from the 3 point solenoid behind the transfer case. I have a line broken off coming from above my transmission and can't see where it broke off from on the motor side, unfortunately. Is that coming from the canister, maybe?

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure.... Just trace it step by step and follow the Lines. As for splits... You can buy the "Splitter" and do it yourself and to your liking. Pause the Video and follow the Video so you can go Step By Step. So far, that is the best known routing I could come up with. This info was on 2 Cars / Truck and it's 1996 Blazer + 2001 S10 Pick Up. NOTE: If yours doesn't have the Split from the Fan / Battery... That means it's an Older Truck / Car and only apply from 2006 and under. At least you don't have to worry about that. NOTE 2: As for the broken line splits, pause the Video where you see a Diagram / Picture which tell you where things goes. SO WATCH THE VIDEO AGAIN AND AGAIN to see if you've missed something.

    The transmission vapour is also going in engine.???

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YES !!!

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Starting 1996... The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) forces ALL Car Manufactures to do it. Anything that has a "Vapor" can not release to the enviroment, it has to go back for a "Re-Burn". So vapor from Oil, Transmissions, Wasted Gas (EGR), Etc... Needs to go back to the Throttle Body for a 2nd re-burn.

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check into Fuel Lines verse Air Lines and do a comparison for yourself. Air Lines when hot or old, can collapse really easily. Fuel Line can withstand high temperatures and is very rigid. Except in Low Application like a Weed Wacker or Small Engines, like 2-4 Stroke.
      #1: Due to the dangers of fire and or blowing up, Fuel Lines are very rigid because they do not want leakages or fire or blowing up.
      #2: Air Lines for your little Fish Aquariums or Air Compressor Tanks, both are different too.

      @@JodBronson super. I got some bad corroded hoses at that white 1 way check valve so I guess that’s my issue!

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Loctain- Check or Inspect all of them for Cracks or Old. In Car or Trucks or this 4.3L Engine, since it's big in HP. Those hard White / Clear Hose are rigid, because they are in a "low/freezing" temperature location, but still not regular air hoses. But if you look at the area that is hot or potentially hot, they use Black Air Hose. Those Black Air Hoses actually get soft when hot and when Old or Cracked, they actually collapse very easily.
      NOTE: Black Air Hose is the #1 problematic in Cars / Trucks due to manufacture costs. Those are cheap - cheap hoses that they put in there.
