- Often called Little Punjab or Little India, West London's Southall district has been a South Asian hub since the 1950s, and was featured in the 2002 film, "Bend it Like Beckham." Southall Market on High Street sells produce, spices, jewellery, and antiques while eateries along The Broadway offer samosas, dosas, and sweets like jelabis. Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha is one of the largest Sikh temples outside India.

I remember this Southall in 70's it was thriving town it had three beautiful cinemas showing Bollywood movies very clean and people lived in peace... Now it's gone downhill rapidly
I am Indian and I believe that uncontrollable migration is disaster for any nation. Only allow those migrants who can add more value and growth through their technical or business skills. Southhall is not looking like Europe but like Indian or Pakistani streets

50 years ago they did a documentary asking local Southall residents about immigration and back then the area was largely still English Anglo Saxon. The residents generally were concerned about the levels of non whites coming in. Now we see they were ignored and the area is completely colonised by Arabs, blacks and Indians.
