Loved this sooooo much!!! God has been teaching me a lot about my friendships this year with some loses and also a new friendship that became a sisterhood. He’s showing me how I need to step out of being a homebody and actually take the effort into maintaining the relationships that I’m praying to have. So basically ya girl has to leave the kids & hubby and get outside lol😅 Related so much to Blair here!!! And Morgan, and one day will relate to Sopha. I have always admired and adored her God given friendships and believing mine are coming🫶🏽💛
as the single friend with no children, I do always try my best to include my mommy friends bc I know how hard it can be, but I’d be a liar if I said it was not hard. after the 10th+ time of inviting that mommy friend to places & then they never come, I do stop inviting that friend to places & im honest with them by telling them why. I understand life is busy, it’s hard etc. when you have children, but that will never change. Im not the type of friend that always wants to be around the kids and/or their significant other every time we hang out bc I want to know & talk to my friend(s) outside of her children, outside of their significant other & home. something about that girl talk/support is different in a good way😍 I’m a huge believer in people prioritize what they want to & friendships being one of them. sometimes it can feel one sided & that is hard to deal with. Like Sopha, I can relate to her - I love pouring into my friends, but it’s draining when you can be the one mostly pouring into them bc in some cases you really do get hurt. part of that hurt is bc you’re the one (or at least you feel like you’re the one) that cares the most. Overall, I’ve just learned how to navigate those friendships so I can keep everyone happy including myself lol
It's hard to find the mother sisterhood in Dallas. I tried to connect with the new moms in my neighborhood and they are all flaky. I understand us moms are all busy but it's just hard to find true genuine friends especially as u get older. I will try prayer 🤍. Love this topic.
