I have an Elodie who is 1 tomorrow! We call her Elle or Elle-Belle! They both just happened! Do love Liddy though, never thought of that! xx

Alice Atreides I have never heard of this name. I think some of the names are more common in the UK. I'm American and I have never heard of some of these.
My friend is an Elodie and she shortens it to Lo :)

I have a twin brother and his name is Joseph but he was going to be called Sam. But then we would have been Sam and Ella ! like the food poisoning 😂😂 Love the name Isla !!!

I absolute just fell in love with the name Elodie, I have a little girl I named Edison so I'm trying to stick with E names for possible other children and I think that just one a spot!! Its so feminie, pretty and elegant!!

Picking a name for another human being is SO difficult!! This is a name they will keep for life. You have to ensure it doesn't sound like it's made for an animal too lol
Saying that, Once my husband and I found out our daughter was a girl, She was immediately named Leia Elizabeth. She is 10 months old now and it fits her perfectly! xx

my parents considered initials, syllables, everything and that was 40 years ago. in a book from the 60's full of baby names, the intro talked about these things, too, so.... but oh my goodness, isla is such a lovely name! never heard it here in my part of the states.

I have an Isla and although I still love the name she is the 3rd Isla in her class. If I had realised how popular it was going to be I would have chosen something else if I'm honest.

I totally understand what u both mean when i had my little man 2 years ago now i was over thinking baby names, easy to do. As you said your child has the name for life thats what made me really stuck on names to.

We are currently 5 months pregnant trying to figure out baby names! Made me laugh hearing you talk about possible bullying variants of the name, as we are doing the exact same thing! It's so hard, and it is such a big deal. I think Elodie is a beautiful name though x

I love the name Polly, it's been one of my favourite girl names for a while now! Reminds me of Polly Pocket which I loved when I was young :) for a boy I love the name Jake, I just think it's lovely. Jake Payne sounds cute! Xx

Well that was strange, stumbled across this video and when I heard you say Elodie I was so stunned! I'm half French but I've still never met another Elodie in the UK. Also my name almost never gets shortened - occasionally get called Elle but most people stick to Elodie.

my daughters Amelia and it doesn't phase me that others maybe called that too as she's unique. these things shouldn't bother you. if it's a name you like then you should just use it.

That was fun to see my name come up at the end! My mum had to talk my dad around a little bit haha :) Bt they were both happy in the end. I've had a couple of people spell it 'imagin', like 'imagine' minus the E, but it's pretty rare. Most people get it right :)
Isla was very unusual almost 22 years ago when I was born and was until recently. Now it's all over the place and that's really strange for me haha!

One of the names we loved for a boy was Archie Jude but it sounded too much like attitude if you said it quickly. We've ended up with a Jack Henry and a Georgia Poppy x
