As always a great video. Thank you for taking the time to share this awesome universe with us. As upcoming chapters I would either like to see the Imperial Fists or the glorious Ultramarines.
Lord Cypher, carrying the Lion Sword, said to be making his way to Terra to lay it at the feet of the Emperor. Either to; ask for forgiveness for the betrayal of Luther, and have the blade re-forged for the Lions return, or, to kill the Emperor with the Lion Sword so to release his spirit so he can become the Star-child. I personally love Cyphers back story. He also has an 'unknown' parton who appears to be helping him, as even when cornered or captured, he escapes (possibly the Emperor is the patron?). Is he a traitor? I don't think so. After all, he aided Cpt Garviel Loken, and Cpt Iacton Qruze on Caliban during their scouting mission.
i like to think that the current dark angels are actually controlled by Chaos and the watchers are chaos spawn. i have faith that Cypher and some fallen are true heros
From what I've read, it appears to have been one huge case of chinese whispers from the mouth of Luther (who was corrupted by Chaos). Some of them are more than likely confused (as in the case of the non-Calibanites). Cypher is a great character! :D
PortbyhanMan seeing as cypher is no longer in the chaos codex, or in the dark angles codex, how do we play him. As a chaos lord or dark angles companymaster, or even just a regular space marine?
Alexander Eden I have no idea, it has been many years since I've done the table top. I'm now 39 and only read the novels, so I just stay in touch by dabbling now and then on the official GW websites and the Lexicon if I want to know anything. Perhaps they're re-writing him? Who knows. We shall wait and see.
Iron Tarkus, as a representative of the Dark Angels, assures you that all the material in this video is vicious lies and slander spread by Chaos filth to tarnish the name of the Emperor's First Legion. Also, please post your address if you have watched this video as we must send a Deathwing "debriefing" team to each and every viewer of this video.
When I read about how all that was left there at the monestary was an insane luther I smirked and said to my self how weird that situation would be for the surveying squad that found him.
After hearing more about their lore and reading the comments bellow I've gained a new-found respect for these guys. ... They've been through some shit there and their lore would make for one pretty cool movie. Blood Ravens? No. Blood Angels? No. Ultramarines? Fuck no. But a Dark Angels movie? Yes. I don't understand how these guys could get the flak that they do, I can understand the flak the Ultramarines get however (they're too fucking perfect) and this is all coming from a Space Wolves fan.
SgtEmissary I'm not so sure the Lion actually mistrusts the Librarians, I took it more to send them back to Caliban was an effort to keep them out of sight of the Imperium after the decree of whatyahmacallit ! I could be wrong, I was a tad confused with the Lions actions with regard to Zahariel and the way he treated him towards the end of the story. Will we ever know just what the hells going on or went on or is still going on (Cypher!) I find the whole story totally engrossing and is the reason I got back into wargaming last year after almost thirty years.(I originally played WFB), Love it and long may it continue.
50 years before the Horus Heresy? Lion possibly not mistrusting the Librarians? All the more to do a Dark Angels movie heheh. Indeed, long may it continue. Almost a shame that I'm a Chaos fanatic. :P
SgtEmissary Yes you are right It was back before the heresy, after rereading the book I think it was The Lion's mistrust of Luthor and Zahriel's proximity to Luthor that earned him his ticket home, after all the Lion is renowned for his suspicions. I must add I am so excited that ForgeWorld have finally began Heresy era legion upgrades...the Lion sculpt may be in production as we speak! :D
well many of the Fallen were the older members of the Order who joined the Legion when they came to Caliban, but they could not become full Astartes due to their age and became a bit like a half breed. They were immortal like Astartes with similar strengths but were a little smaller and not as bulky. So some of the Fallen could have hidden amongst some populations especially if that worlds population was taller and or/thicker than what is the norm
Not all of the fallen rebelled, some were misguided or wanted nothing to do with it but got sucked into the warp only to emerge hundreds of years later not knowing what had happened
Well there were books found back in the knights of lupus library which Lion had hidden away, as well as Lord Cypther being a former knight of lupus, to which the old knight Remiel couldn't believe and felt betrayed there was also Sar Daviel who had actually read the books with a few other knights of the Order, though many of those knights who had also read the books vanished with no one knowing where they had gone, To which lead Daviel to believing the Lion had they killed in secret etc, But of course Luther had spent a long time reading those books before he went about making Caliban indepent again, Many of the Dark angels believed they were left behind by Lion el johnson and that he lost faith in them as Remiel had said to Luther's second in command, a lot of the stuff you mentioned is true, They all basically just felt betrayed by the lion once they learnt the truth and of course turned on him, Remiel and Luther were of course the most hurt by the betrayed since they both raised Lion El Johnson when they found him.
Epic video ed keep up the good work (would like to see death watch please but of course do it in your own time ) random question which armies do you prefer in the table top game
You should read Angels of Darkness by Gav Thorpe. The Fallen was the original Dark Angels chapter that were made by the Emperor, not by Johnson's gene seed. They were left behind, because Johnson didn't trust them and when they attacked Johnson's fleet it was more self defense than traitorous intent. Cept for Luthor, that dude be crazy. Either way that book is amazing and tells the tale of the Fallen from the Commander of the Fallen.
Love the videos, could you please do deathwatch, soul drinkers (the true neutral aligned space marine chapter), or chaos undecided, err... I mean undivided.
I think Cypher might be guided by Malice, the god of hate and the god of the opressed. That's why whereever he apears there is always conflicts between human beings and demons.Malal sometimes helps the Empire beacuse he also hates the other chaos gods.I also like the other theory, the theory that they are fighting for the coming back of the Emperor, and they really have a vision that other empirial servants don't have.
+Duende Satírico Malal hates Slaanesh and the other Chaos gods because they "killed him", although his "will" or "lifeforce" lives on much like the Eldar god Kaine.
6:50 how an eight foot tall superhuman who can tear a bear limb from limb just blends in is anyone's guess but ok. Thats just one of the funnier bits of lore
Love your vids, but the editing is a tad sketchy some times it seems like you need to take greater pauses between sentences so that when you put the video together it sounds smoother.
Lion El'Jonson body is said to be in a hidden place in the rock and is said the watchers know where he is. Has far as I know the watchers didn't move the body of Lion El'Jonson .
I like this videos very much, but can you do some video about the Emperor, the Primarchs and Horus before you do all the chapters? Because is becoming a little confusing for me now (like my english, sorry for that). Thank you, bye
also the dark angels are thought to have left the imperiom dew to its faults and corruption, though most of them (only a few of them didn't) still saw the emperor as humanities leader and savior
The game does not tell you much about ther Chapter and I think it is a perfect subject because of the mystery of ther origin that has a lot of back story. most people think ther origins are from the Thousand Sons. I would like to know more about them !
I've just heard of 1 of the fallen that has on him the of sword Lion El'Jonson . He know as a sharp shooter and wears a white hood and is siad to be heading to holy terra.
dude im drawing all the primarchs at the moment, but if you want to use the pictures in the Horus heresy vid I will try and send you a good picture of them. only done Lion Le Johnson and doing Dorn at the moment.
I wanted to ask you this from the very begining I started watching your presentation of the 40K Universe, why is the Imperium of Man so xenofobe towards other alien species,I understand why they don't like Orcs and Eldar but what do they have with the Tau ?
The Fallen alongside Cypher who may or may not be Zahariel, are the things that made the DA to go from as irrelevant as the RG and IH to as cool as the BA, BR and Salamanders to me.
KANO FOCA sorry I just don't find them interesting at all, even the WS who get shit for being irrelavant at least have a cool primarch and a decent combat doctrine that is underused
Vote for the elephant in the room, the poster boys of The Imperium, creators of the Codex Astartes, heroes of the Horus Heresy. The one, the only, the might ULTRAMARINES!
XD still not sponsored by black library. ok serious bit now. the dark angels had a large amount of librarians only the 2 in the book(names just flew out the window). where sent back as they were there to train up the new members of the librarium among other reasons but not because he didn't like them. the lion openly tells his "ex" librarians after nikaea to break their oath to save his flag ship, in his eyes they were just another strategic asset to be used
Space marines who don't fight for the Emperor, and yet are not followers of Chaos? Wow! Here is a thought, what of a chapter of space marines who don't fight for the Emperium but rather for the Greater Good?
spectre111 are the ultrasmurf, more know like the ultramare the classic shining heroes? the fight for help the greater good, and for have the biggest dick among the chapters
The 'Greater Good' as in the god of the Tau Empire. I know that there are some humans who have been converted to their beliefs so I wonder if there could be space marines who follow the Tau philosophy.
I love the way he says 'still not sponsored by the Black Library' as if to say 'you gitz, you should be paying me for promoting your books!'
wow the Dark Angels really seem like [THE GREATEST SPACE MARINE CHAPTER OF ALL TIME] filled with [LOYAL BROTHERS] and even more [LOYAL] leaders.
As always a great video. Thank you for taking the time to share this awesome universe with us.
As upcoming chapters I would either like to see the Imperial Fists or the glorious Ultramarines.

PortbyhanMan Who knows. It could be both ...
Never forgive. Never forget. The fallen must repent!
The new intro looks so professional. I love your videos and i really want to know more about Warhammer 40k!

+Iron Tarkus I'm in the eye of terror. Come and "debrief" me.
It would not be the first time. Er....I mean, I'm totally not sure how we would even go about doing that.
Iron Tarkus Lol sorry i'm actually chilling on The Rock. Hurry over and bring your friends, we'll make it a party!
Great! I brought you this teleport homer. Just hold onto it for one moment.
+Iron Tarkus screams at someone "HERESY! **BLAM!**" you look at iron tarkus "he is there still a spot free? got free time after blaming that heretic"
Video already? Awesome! I don't have to wait another grueling week for another video.
you should do a VoT vid dedicated to Cypher and the theories surrounding him
When I read about how all that was left there at the monestary was an insane luther I smirked and said to my self how weird that situation would be for the surveying squad that found him.
awesome, two vids in a week, great work

+shirlzknight I believe he sent Zahariel back before the decree banning librarians took play. He sent em back 50yrs before the Horus Heresy
50 years before the Horus Heresy? Lion possibly not mistrusting the Librarians? All the more to do a Dark Angels movie heheh. Indeed, long may it continue.
Almost a shame that I'm a Chaos fanatic. :P

+SgtEmissary totally, these videos make no mention of it but the Dark Angels and spacewolves have an old rivalry beginning with their patriarchs.
wow you are posting so fast recently, keep the good work!
Legion of the Damned would be much appreciated. Thanks for your hard work!
well many of the Fallen were the older members of the Order who joined the Legion when they came to Caliban, but they could not become full Astartes due to their age and became a bit like a half breed. They were immortal like Astartes with similar strengths but were a little smaller and not as bulky. Love the vids dude always had a soft spot for 40k lore ^_^
Not all of the fallen rebelled, some were misguided or wanted nothing to do with it but got sucked into the warp only to emerge hundreds of years later not knowing what had happened
I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. :D
IRON HANDS, Imperial Fists, Exorcists your videos are great thank you
Sweet, also I have a question are the Dark Angels the last chapter that you will do for a while before going onto other races?
I think the lion is going to be the star child because that is what the emperor did to horus
"People don't often see it from the Fallen's perspective" I smell heresy! :P
Epic video ed keep up the good work (would like to see death watch please but of course do it in your own time ) random question which armies do you prefer in the table top game

Highfive from Hungary! :D
I can't explain how much I am pleased...
He is the god of discord too
Duende Satírico cypher is heading to the emps to tattle tell on the dark angels.
Space Marines are very resilient, even to the passage of time.
Love your vids, but the editing is a tad sketchy some times it seems like you need to take greater pauses between sentences so that when you put the video together it sounds smoother.
Zahariel, defining being in the wrong place at the wrong time
Are you still going to do a video on the Titans? Love the channel, keep it up!!
I would like to hear about the Celestial Lions, I would also be interested in hearing more about the books you have read, are any of them any good
Lion El'Jonson body is said to be in a hidden place in the rock and is said the watchers know where he is.
Has far as I know the watchers didn't move the body of Lion El'Jonson .
Magnus had an immense amount of warp power and he was never corrupted
I like this videos very much, but can you do some video about the Emperor, the Primarchs and Horus before you do all the chapters? Because is becoming a little confusing for me now (like my english, sorry for that). Thank you, bye

"we die so others may live"
Astelan ordered the orbital guns to fire
I read that the Lion split his legion along the lines of earth born space marines and those born on caliban.
You should do a video on Cypher and his exploits.
dude im drawing all the primarchs at the moment, but if you want to use the pictures in the Horus heresy vid I will try and send you a good picture of them. only done Lion Le Johnson and doing Dorn at the moment.
Please do a video on the Pre-Heresy World Eaters.
have you done a space marine fleet vid yet
So... Some of The Fallen may live a normal human life as a farmer on Agriworld for example and be 10 000 years old?
I wanted to ask you this from the very begining I started watching your presentation of the 40K Universe, why is the Imperium of Man so xenofobe towards other alien species,I understand why they don't like Orcs and Eldar but what do they have with the Tau ?
Inquisition ever caught them wouldnt think twice.
The Fallen alongside Cypher who may or may not be Zahariel, are the things that made the DA to go from as irrelevant as the RG and IH to as cool as the BA, BR and Salamanders to me.
don't talk shit about the RG sigi
KANO FOCA sorry I just don't find them interesting at all, even the WS who get shit for being irrelavant at least have a cool primarch and a decent combat doctrine that is underused
